It's from 2010 first night of "Rock Am Ring". I have the cd of this night. Great playing but Paul has no voice on this day. That was a bad night for him but a great time for KISS playing live in front of 150.000 people.
Rock Am Ring is the biggest hard rock and heavy metal festival in Germany with the "Wacken open Air".
I wasn't there... :|

It must be a disaster for a frontman to stand in front of 150.000 people and having no voice. If one of the other members of the band has a cold or something, it´s not such a big problem but the singer always has to be in good shape. I admire the singers and I think they are frequently underestimated.

At least KISS followed the Beatles blueprint of 4 lead singers and Paul doesn't have to sing ALL the songs. Every band I've ever been in the members split up the lead vocals so if someone's having a bad night the others can step up and help sing. I could never imagine being the lone frontman and having to sing every song, especially with a cold, sore throat, voice problems, etc...
