Geez Paul is really full of shit. They were Metal?...& the first to be Metal? Bull-Fucken-Shit. Did they miss the whole 'British Invasion of Heavy Metal'. Had they not hear of Judas Priest? And Gene is his usually boring, rehashing (the same catch crys) bullshitting self.

I think they were metal before priest but not as metal as those guys. Those guys took it to New levels. I think its just fun this interview.

I think he refered to songs like deuce being metal but yeah Paul did sound uncool. Kiss wouldn't be kiss without the arrogance though and i think its all done with a grain of salt (at least i think).
