One of my favourite cheap guitars was smashed by Paul on lick it up tour in Lisbon

He would have smashed it but I am not sure about playing it, he didn't used to play the smashed guitars did he?
They were just cheaper models only used to be smashed?

Actually, there could be truth of this. Does anyone know when Paul started bringing in the karate wood guitars ( meaning easy to break on stage / no strings ) for smashing ? Seen one from the Crazy Nights tour and it was karate wood.

The things he smashed on crazy nights tour were junk but the sonex is cheap but not junk in my opinion. .

He never played the guitars for smashing onstage so while it was technically a Kiss owned guitar it was not a personal possession, just part of the tour.
Bolt on neck guitars are favoured for this as they can break apart nicely.
I read a star on how many cheap Gibsons Paul smashed while on tour in 1975. Can't remember the number but it was a lot. One per gig really I guess.

Yeah, that is way too much and they should not have put it back together.
It's value is not as an instrument but rather something smashed by Paul briefly.
