To me, Gene always seems like he is more disappointed than vindictive when it comes to Vinnie. Almost like he wishes they were still friends?

Paul will never let go of his jealousy. Vinnie was most likely the first musician to really enamor Gene with his talents. Vinnie leaves---Gene loses interest--- Paul starts writing
with Desmond Child,etc... Kiss has pretty much lived off the 1970's ever since.
Only recently does Paul demand that they start writing TOGETHER again.
EGO ,GREED,AND JEALOUSY have ruined Kiss for many years.
