I don't like the fretboard blank. Dots at least. I love the Phil Collen Jackson but would put dots on the neck if I had one.

i like the dots on the E string.. i just go for something different usually.

I put tape on the side of the neck even with fret markers . Getting old is a bitch.

My twelve string bass doesn't have any fret markers on the fretboard. Eric Brittingham got a kick out of my tape markers. He was happy that I was actually playing it and not planning on selling it.

I had an acoustic with only side dots oddly enough it never bothered me, but like Rick my eye site was a lot better then. I dont think I would order one that way now.

I like blank boards though I don't own one.
