What cracks me up is Mulder used to think we were all nuts until he actually got to.communicate with vv. Him deleting himself from vv's board was classic.

I think I've said this before, but I've never really joined a forum until this one. I was on Kissasylum a little bit before they got rid of the forum section. I think I may have posted twice on on the old doublev site long prior to Vinnie getting involved. And it's this kind of stuff that made me never want to.
1) Just WAY too many people to get to know anyone enough to want to have ongoing "conversations".
2) The people that you are able to differentiate out of the crowd are usually the crazy or obnoxious ones as they post a lot and say crazy shit.
3) Too many assholes that are only on to agitate or ridicule anyone else on the forum.

After a lengthy hiatus from reading the old doublev I tried to stop by only to find it closed. (I had somehow missed the entire Vinnie taking over and kicking everyone out debacle...darn it...) I did a search with Google and found this forum.

I liked this place because it was smaller. You could make out who everybody was without a scorecard. Everyone seemed to genuinely desire to have discussions about KISS and Vinnie...not just stand on a mountain and scream their opinions at everyone. And while Vinnie insists this place exists to spew hate at him, I found the opposite to be true. I think most of the main participants on here actually care about Vinnie, both musically and on a personal level. Without getting mushy, I think the main participants actually "care" about the others. I have no illusions that we are friends in the traditional sense, but I do feel like we respect and are interested in the other members on a personal level and as KISS fans.

It is no illusion, we are all friends and I know that we would all get along great upon meeting each other. I look forward to meeting more of you in the coming years.
And YES, even the harshest critics with the toughest words for Vinnie would only like the best for him . It may take a few boots to his ass though.
