Ive been among atheists a lot online and I have never seen that although I am not an atheist myself. In fact I usually see the opposite on youtube and facebook especially. Just try and post a video or pic on or about biology and watch the fundamentalist/creationist nutjobs come out of the woodwork telling you you are going to burn in hell. Unfortunately some of them are in my own family.

Totally agree with you. Yes there are a lot of nut jobs on both sides of the equation. I was pointing out that I don,t shove my beliefs down anyone's throat and in turn I don't want anyone shoving (or trying to recruit) their belief down my throat. I respect your belief or 'non belief' and I expect the same respect shown to me. Otherwise we can continue to live in a state of push me, shove you. Also I was trying to point out that westernised countries are based on the belief of God being on top, then the citizens of the country obeying the laws of God and the Government serving the people. If you like living in a westernised country, you are basically accepting a system that was found with the belief of God being involved in the process. The same argument can be put to Vegans. Real Vengens will not partake in any form of using any part an animal to eat, wear or consume in anyway. When I asked then if they drive a car or take public transport, they say 'yes'. Little do they know that in the production of making a tyre, the manufacture uses an enzyme found in the gut of a cow. So on one hand they are happy to get from pointto point B by car, bus, plane. And on they other hand they think they haven't used any part of an animal. There is a word for this. That word is hypocrisy.

Na, one of my best friends is a Vegan. I respect his choice. Just pointing out that people like living under a type of system., but really have no idea where that system came from. Then they have the ordasity to criticise something that they have no real understanding of. Like pot heads. (which I do hate) cause I have had a first hand experience of how it fries brain cells. I grew up a bunch of stoner and by the age of 25 they were self inflicted retards. They couldn't work. Couldn't take care of themselves. They choice to became retards. And my tax dollars goes to pay for the self inflicted mental disorder. In saying that I' not ruling out that there may be some kind of merit in the use of marijuana as a medicine. I have one of those "are you saved" in my my family as well, When I explain that religion is a man made byproduct for control and the difference between spirituality and religion is ritual, it makes him crazy. I can believe in God and have him in my life, without religion. I explained you have to go to church, I am always there, I get blank stares.
But I also believe, that some people need a church or religion to make that connect and thats cool. Some church's do a lot of out reach help to people who need it and promote service work and thats a good thing also.
I do service work at least once a month of some kind or another and sometimes a church is running it.

But all religions are based on exclusion of some sort, and most are fairly ridicules. Like the person in my family goes to a church, there thing is complete submersion during baptism. So if your being baptized and a toe or maybe a bit of spiky hair is sticking up then your not going to heaven.
As I explained to him, there has been around 200,000 religions on earth at one time or another and every single one believes that they are right, and if there is one millionth of a percent of intelligent life out there in the universe, that means there a billion planets that have life and each and every one has had a few or more religions.... now you all cant be right.

The other scenario that makes most insane is the " if you dont know then you go to heaven" So theres this tribe in south america and they have never had contact with the outside world. No exposure to God or the bible in your sense. They get a pass " right " .. Right. So you take your religious beliefs and go traipsing though the jungle and run in to them, now they know right,... Right. So if they don't like your religion there going to hell right... well ya.. So you screwed up there pass. They would have been better off not knowing your religion.

So while I think Religions serve the propose of getting people to do what they should be doing all ready, it always leads to exclusion and a lot of cases corruption. But then again maybe I am just one of the ones who thinks there right... But I am comfortable letting God sort me out and not man in the end, maybe that's the difference.
As always to each there own, I am just renting space for the time being.
