Randy Rhoads/Ozzy - Tribute. Even though Ozzy redid all the vocals and Randy's mistakes were fixed, Max Norman brought out something magical with his production.
Megadeth - Rust in Peace. Marty! Marty! Marty! Mustaine's song writing is impeccable on this album.
Dream Theater - Images in Words. Brilliant musicianship and fantastic complicated arrangements.
Iron Maiden - Somewhere in Time. I love all the 80's Maiden album but this was the first I bought with my own money. Great sounding album too. Wish they'd play Alexander the Great live.
Vinnie Vincent - VVI. Dana!!!

All performances actually. But in reality.……Vinnie! Vinnie! Vinnie!
Vinnie Vincent - ASG. A great follow up. Most here would agree its not an abortion no matter how many times Vinnie says it is. It ain't Vinnie. Be proud of it man!
Dokken - Back for the Attack. George! George! George! Great gnarly tone and their best song writing. One of the albums that got me through my last year of high school.
Iron Maiden -Killers. The album I listen to when I'm in a very bad mood. It calms me down for some reason??? The band was really tight on this one.
Yngwie - Rising Force. Bombastic if a tad short Black Star and Far Beyond the Sun are still favourites of mine.
Kiss- Creatures. For an album made up with session players it's friggin amazing.

Ooooooh. Gretchen Goes To Nebraska!
It is a crime that King's X did not become huge. They are one of the best bands since the Beatles and almost nobody knows it.

Weird. Eric Singer complains that the sound on this album is not very good. I, on the other hand, think the sound is perfect for KISS. It reminds me of the what the first 3 albums SHOULD HAVE sounded like. I think it sounds very real, very live, very big but not too ridiculously huge. The only thing I wish is that the songs were a little less complicated musically. (Not that I dislike complicated songs, it's just not a great fit for KISS.)

The coolest thing about Carnival of Souls for me is that Bruce was finally given a lead vocal spot on I Walk Alone. That tune is very "Ace-like" in sound and vocal delivery (though I now know that someone can have even less vocal range than Ace).

Nitro OFR!! Damn I love that album!! It is both the greatest and most terriblest album ever. I break that one out all the time. So much pure, raw talent and power and it's used on such goofiness. Gosh I love it. I will forever place Bobby Rock in my top 5 because of that album alone.

Bobby Rock said when he used to do his peavy drum clinics that more than 3/4 of the materials he signed from fans was ofr . He told me he could count on one hand the vvi materials brought by fans which really surprised me.

BR was playing those gigs 12 years ago. I think niro survived the 90s better than vinnie in terms of fans.
I think vv has maybe surpassed nitro since.

Not surprised. The drumming on OFR is outstanding. Incredible.
