Ok, now I'm going to see Extreme again next year. It's only literally been 20 years!! The Three Sides tour was great, good times on the streets of Sydney.

I saw Extreme at the Akron Agora for the Pornograffiti tour. Alice In Chains opened and was booed of the stage although they kicked ass .

I used to be big Extreme fan. There is even quite a bit of WAITING 4 THE PUNCHLINE that I enjoy although it's clear that the band really wasn't into it.
Nuno solo was pretty dreadful, IMO.
Cherone in VH was clearly not successful.
I never picked up their comeback album. Any good?

I didn't get into WFTP and I haven't been able to get into their new one.
I am going to hear the 2nd and 3rd albums and Nuno is a fantastic player.

WFTP has great guitar sounds and playing on it.
Very good album that is one of their finest moments.

i dont mind Nuno but I wasn't totally an Extreme fan. I would never play any of their music.
Alice in Chains were so mismatched with Extreme. They totally looked demorlized opening for them.

it was like 'what the fuck are we doing here'
no one cared for them and they didn't care for the audience.
To be honest it wasn't a full house for Extreme at the show I was at. Maybe only 400 people.

Got tix for the Brisbane show! They've been on sale for a couple of weeks now and I got tix no.87 & 88 and I ordered them last Saturday??!!! Sadly for them it might be a small gig? I know 2 or 3 years ago Nuno did a Washburn clinic and only 7 or 8 turned up??? Whether you like or dislike Extreme, Nuno is a monster! My old bass player went though with his wife and said Nuno still played his ass off!
3 days ealier Satriani is doing a clinic show.......so my 3 night trip may have to become an 8 night one!!!!

Geez, there was nothing ever eXtreme about Extreme. Pretty pedestrian for the most part. I do like Nuno Bettencourt playing, but that's about it.
Oh sorry, come to think of it., there was somthing eXtreme about them. Their singer, Gary Cherone, when he joined Van Halen. How he danced around like some kinda finocchio.
And Richie Kazzo-head, having a relationship with Rockett's fiancee at the time (late 1993), Deanna Eve. Kotzen was fired due to this incident. In VH1's "Behind The Music",singer Bret Michaels said he never wanted to speak to Kotzen again. Plenty of fish in the sea, leave your band-mates shit alone fuckhead.

It was a funny name for them, as the weren't extreme, but I love their 2nd and third albums.

I always thought their name was not appropriate for the type of music they played, but I always pictured them as a potential incumbent to the throne of Queen. Given the right time to develop I think they could've come up with some great material.

I met Nuno...he was a complete asshole. Great guitarist but a complete asshole. Gary Cherone was a nice guy though.
Still AIC is WAAAAAAY better than Extreme in my opinion. Not that Extreme is bad I just like Alice in Chains a lot more.

I met Nuno after a Baby Animals show locally, where his wife was playing, he was nice from memory. I wasn't expecting him to actually be there so I didn't bring anything to sign so I got him to sign my ticket.

i met him with Ed Roman. The only time I spoke or saw Ed in the flesh. The other time I was going to meet him was to sell him my guitar collection in 1999 or 2000 when he still was based in connecticut but he ended up telling me pretty much every guitar I owned was made in some cheap factory in south east asia which i knew was bullshit. He was offering very low prices but i suppose metal guitars were worth very little in the late 90s. I think they peaked 3 or 4 years ago.

for kotzen,i think the meaning of his last name in german is enough.
Went to see him a couple weeks ago.
Rehashed jimi riffs are not my style.I prefer the original. To think he started promising and now plays that........terrible attitude too. Most of the time he didn't pay attention to the audience, except a few words, spent time between songs talkin with his bandmates, often offered his side or back tyo the audience.Looked like an open door band reharsal, except he charged a ticket for it.It was the first time i've had the chance to meet a musician and went away, instead.Good idea tough, if i would have seen that "i'm a royalty, bunch of peasants" again, i would have flipped a 1 cent coin to his feet.
Extreme wanted to be like Queen, nuno has many times expressed admiraiton for the band, some songs were nice, couldn't stand Cherone's voice, sorry.Nuno's rythm playng was great and more interesting than his leads.

I think that his leads were interesting also and that his phrazing and hand vibrato are excellent. Now for full disclosure, I this that his work with Extreme (Nuno) is excellent but his solo material totally sucks!

Did you tell Nuno to go fuck himself ( the again he could always use Suze DeMarchi's cock, the she-male that she is) when he said you guitars were built in South East Asia. Sounds like he was trying to scam them out of your possession. Sounds a like another little man me know.

Understatement. She's a turd of human being and I'm being kind. Had the pleasure of spitting at her at Springfields in the Cross. And their music sucked ass. I wouldn't root her with Vinnie's cock.

EXTREME and Mr.BIG were getting big at the same time. extreme never touched my heart, mr.big DID. of course I know, nuno can play, but he never got me on my knees with my mouth open.. paul DID!
the best playing i ever heard by nuno is on the maiden tribute album where he plays aces high with only ONE guitar. funny!
listening to "pablo gilberto", live or on record, always makes me proud of myself ever picked up a guitar and learned the forst chords and now playing (perhaps) pretty well... he never made me feel like: oh man, stop it, you've got no chance...

I used to play a couple of Baby Animals songs. Some good songs on the first album but I don't listen to it. One of those bands that I'd listen to when they're on the radio.

Cool, that is their first album kind of look. I didn't dig them then, the second album brought it all together. Gary's voice was great with Extreme but didn't suit older Van Halen songs.
Cool that a song from Extreme III is here in 1987, I had no idea how old it was. Warheads.
