How many times did they try and sue Vinnie or threaten legal action?

I believe they issued a cease and desist for the wonderful:
"Member of KISS Army Goes AWOL".
-- a hell of a line and so petty on there part. He should have fought that one. Could have won easily.

Threatened him for appearing in his own makeup.

Stopped his "EP" ad from appearing in Metal Edge after it had already been approved.

Didn't Vinnie wait to even sue them till after they pulled that final stunt?

What's ironic is that people complain Vinnie sues too much and never should have sued KISS and other things.

They forget that Vinnie went all the way to the FREAKIN SUPREME COURT!! Do you know how few cases will make it that far much less even be heard by the Supreme Court?

So it wasn't like Vinnie was putting out frivolous claims against KISS and other parties.

and the thing is--he lost alot of of those on legl technicalities.


And its just my personal opinion he was counting on the windfall of cash back in 98-99 or so to help him get the Archives out and then put out Guitarmageddon and other things. Then it drug on forever and of course everyone knows what the Supreme Court did.

I think if KISS would have made a decent settlement back then-- you would have seen more product out--including a version of the Archives.

I believe your personal opinion and accept this response regarding the Archives and Guitarmaggedon and I only wish that Vinnie would have shared these facts years ago. It would have simmered down alot of tempers and eliminated a lot of the slagging that has gone on that I'm sure hasn't helped Vinnie. We all at some point in our life get buried or into something too deep. All of us! Looking back any friendly jesture of reaching out and acknowledging in any way would have been appreciated and I believe that many of us would have forgiven the $125. Vinnie's silence has unfortunately fueled the fire in some of us.

It is never too late for Vinnie but it is entirely up to him and he has ALWAYS from day 1 had it within his grasp to unite the members of the forums

The make-up was never "Vinnie's". It was designed by Paul and owned by the Kiss corporation. (Still is from how I understand it.)

I think a lot of people would be a lot less pissed about the Archives if Cusano would've then or would now just come out and make a statement about what happened. They'd be happy if he'd make amends somehow...like send out digital versions of the songs.

Vinnie owns the Ankh and Fox (second design) make ups
it's all public information !

Are you sure about that...or does he own some weird copyright variation or something about a female version? I'm saying I don't remember.

If Vinnie bothered to go to court, or follow court directions or his Lawyers he might have actually not ended up in debt and had some sort of settlement. They were just short of having the guy committed for petes sake.

He owns the trademark. Different to owning the make up. Also he did some grey area transfer from les keros account that I dont believe kero knew about. Also some weird notary stuff going on.
