Bill is to bass what Vinnie is to guitars...

That's cool and I respect his talent but I would rather see Bobby on drums with Billy Sheehan providing the bass.

Billy Sheehan is very melodic and percussive as well as flashy.
He just strikes the right chord with me.

Very cool and very elevated technique! I'm actually familiar with the Budha and he has a great percussive thumping jazz funk style. Unfortunately as great a shredder as Budha is it is kind of hard to find very much on the internet showing him playing anything resembling melodic. As great a shredder as Vinnie is he is also an incredibly melodic player. I believe that Budha with that great technique could play whatever he wished to play however he seldom choses to play melodically.

Have you seen him play with Stevie Wonder? Stevie just loves him.

Did you get "Snap, Crackle and Pop" Live cd? I could really see Vinnie and The Buddha doing "The Dual" that Buddha and Neil Zaza performed.

Yes brother I do have and have heard "Snap, Crackle & Pop but I haven't listened to it in years. I rather like Neil Zaza too.

I went to see Neil Zaza perform quite a bit during the 1990's and first decade of the 2000's.
He is from NorthEastern Ohio and had a band called... wait for it... ...Zaza.
They were nothing great and his playing wasn't anything special. It kind of goes nowhere. Shred for shred's sake.I have spoken with him a few times and he couldn't be any nicer of a fellow.

Mike Szuter was a lot better at combining shred and melody within great songs in his band called Outta The Blue.Mike later went on to play with Paul Gilbert.A few members from a later version of Outta The Blue went on to be in a band that a lot of us like called Steel Panther.

With your inside knowledge do you know if vv had a bass player in mind to tour gfh with?
I wonder if robert would have toured this time.
Apart from the oakland show I felt mark slaughter really ruined the vvi sound live?

Also one more thing brainsaw.. you know that interview years ago whem suppisedly vinnie said he was looking for a rhythm guitarist and I knocked it down saying I could never see vv with a second guitarist in vvi... do you agree that was not really vinnie?
