Dana Strum produced this . SOUND FAMILIAR ?
Do we have this to blame for the VV/ JSS connection ? JSS sounds incredible on this and on Malmsteen music but doesn't belong on any Vinnie music.

I've got some great pictures of Kuni hanging out in LA with the guys from VVI.

He sounded really good during JAPAN AID....

KUNI should have been big in the US and they should have gotten much more attention. Kuni was great. Much better than Gene Simmons E-Z-O.

I can't remember when they recorded this in 1987 and when the Jeff Scott Soto Vinnie demos were done.

Knowing how Dana worked and Vinnie.... it wouldn't surprise me if Jeff's VVI stuff was recorded at the same time as Kuni's. One thing about them....anytime they could do studio work on someone else's dime (this time Kuni's and his label) they took advantage of it =).

For me nothin touches that first EZO record... the whole album slays and plus they looked killer... like glam ninja satanic anime power rangers from hell. The guitarist, Shoyo kinda looked like Vinnie too.

Totally agree they were WAY better than Loudness well that first record was...and now that you mention it he does kinda look like Vinnie :) And Hiro's (the drummer) costume kinda looks like Ace Frehley's Dynasty-Unmasked costume :)

I don't know why they never made it big...

come to think of it I'm pretty sure that first album almost went gold so I take it back they were HUGE

Yes, that sounds about right in Gene Simmons promo world. ;). Gene probably forgot that peaking at 150 doesn't mean much =) Those pesky trade mags.

I used to think it was sung and played by Invasion, then done backward.
