FEBRUARY 5--A Connecticut man has pleaded guilty to participating in a coordinated online attack on Kiss frontman Gene Simmons,
whose web sites were targeted in retaliation for comments the rock star made about Internet piracy.

The October 2010 denial of service attack against genesimmons.com and two other sites--which were knocked offline--
was spearheaded by the online collective “Anonymous,” which dubbed its Simmons assault “Operation Payback.”

Gene's comment was pretty sour and distasteful. Sue everyone, take their houses and their cars? I never liked Gene very much...I feel no sympathy for his site becoming a target by hacker(s). Learn to use better words, Gene.

No matter what Gene got his man.
Good for him.

Gene was in the right and was right to stick up for himself.

You may not like what he said about hackers but it doesn't mean he deserves to have his site shut down.
People can just boycott KISS and Gene Simmons if they want to, but closing a business down for what they say is not the way to go about it.
That would be like if I owned a bookstore and said something in public that someone didn't like.
Do they have the right to come over and lock up my store and not let anyone in for an extended period of time?
Of course not.

These hackers should organize a boycott instead.

Bad wording on his comments or not Gene, and everyone, has the right to do business unhindered. Shit music or not he deserves payment if you want it. If not then I'm sure Gene won't mind if you go and fuck yourself quietly in a corner.

Sure he's killing Kiss and their albums suck but as some here have or are trying it on the music business it's a little surprising.
