i am amazed they didn't photo shop him out. Gene can not stand him. The only thing he likes about vv is talking about him.

Maybe it's because Gene's spit covers Vin's face?

vv is really the main reason he is not featured in historic catalogs etc due to the fact he has attempted to sue in the past. Funny thing is the only person it hurts is VV as I am sure VV would be featured much more if he let them use images of him. IT ONLY HELPS VINNIE. Oh well.

to be positive the liu and creatures tour is the only tour I would have wanted to see every show. Best line up and it seems like VV played different every night. I would be bored to death watching most post VV line ups every night on tour. But LIU tour I would have happily seen every night.

Damn, I can understand them not adding Vinnie because of all the suing, but c'mon, at least one shot of St. John from the HOF video or something (or maybe one of his rare live shots?)

I also thought maybe they'd add a nice, big shot of Eric in the fox outfit.

Rick, that is most likely the reason Paul didn't feature the fox and his own bandit makeup. Or it could've been Gene's decision... they don't want newer fans knowing former members had their OWN characters?

Yeah I can see why they wouldn't have used Vinnie in the tour book. All that suing, alongeith Vinnie being so protective of his image :p Him appearing in these type of tjings would help him immensely. People would be curious about him and look him up. I hadn't discovered Vinnie until I came across the KISS Invasion interview. Before that, I had never heard of the 'Ankh Warrior', and I probably never would have if it wasn't for that video. KISS literally tells nothing about him!

But yeah :p Im guessing they missed that image or just let it slip in since its not all that noticeable.

plus he owns the rights to a couple of the makeup designs including erics.........


but they still use some of his songs so it cant be all that bad

Doesn't Vinnie only own something stupid like Eric's design but only on females?

Otherwise couldn't be stop them using it on the Creatures cover?

He can't stop what has already been used but I would think he could put a halt to any new product they try.

I'd like to see that happen, test his copyrights. A set of Unmasked or Creatures dolls would be cool.

Vv owns the trademark to erics make up .. not the rights. He doesnt own old pictures just if you wanted to make new eric carr stuff he maybe able to sue if you used it in print the way he tm'd it. Also kiss have been using the make up image before vv tm'd meaning they can win in court plus a trademark only is valid if you trade with it which vv does not. Copyright is what he needed and no way could he do that as its way out of date now.
Kiss would have no problem proving they used erics make up before vv came along.. I

Vinnie's ownership is the sole reason the used Eric's original Fox design on the McFarlane dolls. They further fucked with Vinnie by calling the set "Creatures".

"Unmasked Tour" would have been the honest thing to call them.
