I've always loved the multiple connotations of that name.

It is but the rumor is that all of the gear was removed and the studio was converted into a lounge area by the new home owners.

The house would be worth a lot more money if they kept that how it was.. stupid.
Didnt they use that to record the elder? Its near where vv grew up I believe.

Kiss did the awesome pre-Elder demos there before Ezrin came in. Ace recorded some Elder stuff there and mailed it to Canada.

Awesome, you linked my fave of the pre-Elder tunes! Funky ass bassline... I have a feeling this one was a Gene tune... maybe a Carr/Simmons collaboration. Would love to hear it with a vocal.

Those images were provided for KISS fans' enjoyment by engineer Rob Freeman and John Storyk (who designed Ace in the Hole), respectively. And they are part of an interview I conducted with Storyk for KissFAQ. If you're interested in these sort of left-of-center parts of KISStory, you can read about it here:

I have no problem with sharing this sort of thing, but a basic credit would be appreciated.

timstar78 , Notice that I didn't put the story up yet. I put the photos up last night and quite honestly didn't feel the need to share the story right away. While the story is awesome and I planned on posting it( and giving credit as I always do), I don't believe you should worry about credit for anything.
Those pictures, like the really rare ones that we share here, are already on search engines and belong (in a way) to the internet now.
RESPECTFULLY-If you are concerned about credit, maybe share them privately or watermark them. We have a good lot of Vinnie related photos that haven't seen the light of day yet for that very reason.

Love to see sammy and one finger finish it off. Definitely done in dynasty style.

If I ever won the Power-Ball Lottery it would be the 1st house on my list to buy...It's really cool and very private. You'd never expect it to house a Rock Star or a member of KISS but that's probably why Ace liked it so much ! It had a short paved road which eventually turned into dirt & gravel, you would approach a pair of electronically controlled gates that had a security camera, intercom system and keypad. Past the gates you drove over this little bridge with a stream under it and then up the driveway and around the large fountain and you were home !!! I'll include it in the "Vinnie Tour" if any of You ever make it up this way ...
