Vivian Campbell is a guitarist that I respect . Every time I've had a conversation with him, he was engaged in it and was in no hurry to end it. In fact, No one but us was around.
I recently reminded him of one of our conversations and he took the time to respond:

Viv, I spoke to you briefly last Summer . I hope you consider pulling out your old Charvel for at least an encore or two. I believe that it's really important . I would really like seeing a signature series of your Charvel guitars.

I envy you for being able to have a conversation with Viv !
Because Viv is my first love guitarist and I copied every guitar play from 1~3 Dio album. I also copied his PINGS !

You can at least talk with him via Facebook until he comes closer to where you live.
The proof is right here. He is very cool in person and on Facebook. HE CARES !!!!
This correspondence really brightened my day.

Nice one. If he plays King of Rock and Roll, he should definitely use the Charvel though. Good to see that he must have patched things up with Wendy Dio. Ronnie was very bitter towards Viv for a long time.
There's always a way to patch things up!

up until he passed, he was very pissed at vivian for joining def leppard. theres a video on youtube of dio trashing viv for joining lol

It goes way before joining DL. Viv was young and I guess got a bit big headed. I think there was some jealousy in the band and Viv would say, "I'll just write another song and get some more money!", or something along those lines. It pissed Ronnie off as the YouTube clip tells.
Coverdale and Vandenberg didn't get on with him either when he was in Whitesnake which was pre DL. Then he made the fantastic Riverdogs album before joining DL. (Love the song Toy Soldiers!)
Everyone grows as a person I guess.

Vivian was very remorseful about the feud with RJD and also about the things he said about Metal music.
I will say that RJD was pulling similar shit on Viv that G&P were doing to Vinnie.
Viv is a CLASS ACT.

Glenn Danzig is a WEE-little man with a Napoleon complex.
I met him on the last date of Ozzfest 2000 on The Deadlights' bus. Between his plastic surgery, pancake makeup, and fugly models (hangers-on) he showcased a brilliant example of how to act like a wanna-be.

I always thought he looked way too different recently. I also heard he is a major douche along the lines of Malmsteen's bloated ego.

The last I heard Vivian was in recovery. I'm glad he had a type of cancer with an 80% recovery rate instead of cancer with a 20% recovery rate. He was positive about the experience, which makes him a stronger person. It's a good thing he's alright, now. Sometimes things do work out for the best.
