But Paul's ego will get in the way and further destroy his voice. It ain't 1977 anymore.

Paul could do his standards with a BUNCH of help from the other three. At this point, Gene prolly needs to sing more leads than Paul... and Paul cuts way back on his stage raps. Hell maybe even let Eric and Tommy (not Gene!) talk to the crowd too.
