Seeing the interaction between fans & Gene from a recent Kiss convention video. Gene talks of the new stage show. I recall him saying the spider will walk turn and come up on it's hind legs , shoot laser out of its tentacles & fire balls. He also mentioned something along the lines of all 4 members levitating above the audience w/ some new invisible wire.

I know I didnt see any of these things in the latest youtube vids of the Stockholm show. Gene you king of hype ! Although it does look cool not much action from the spider, thought we would see more .... right now its just a fancy chandelier that Gene put to much hype behind . If you were there and I am missing something ... please let me know ?

I believe your observations to be spot on.... Gene... the king of over hyping. I bet Paul was pissed at him for making it all sound cooler than it really is.

I'll give him the benefit for now. It's early in the tour .

oh, it looks great, but I was hopin' it would be crawling across the stage, breathing fire and possibly attacking the crowd with the way Gene described it.

Not to get off the vinnie banter, as I love it and it makes me laugh BUT, like PinkWIz I thought it would have been like the Creatures Tank, Erics drums on a spider that moved around and shot things over the crowd . Why they insist its a new stage is beyond me ... it 30 -40 feet in the air and there only on it for the intro and Genes bass solo .... lame !

Paul claims he sketched down the idea for the "spider" and although I'm sure Bowie's '87 stage and Cooper were an influence, the U2 stage (being the most recent) was probably the biggest catalyst. Too bad they didn't top that stage.

Definitely not the most original idea they've had.

Maybe they got the idea from seeing some oldie in swimmers who hadn't had a trim and saw all the spider legs hanging out??!!!

They never have full stage in europe. I think it will work in us tour.

KISS is still with us and touring.....who doesnt embellish a little bit? led zep embellished their whole career......

Set list, is not terrible as usual, but on the stage and the pyrotechnics, the group made a lot of effort!

David Bowie is like Frank Zappa. His music is an acquired taste. Even at Bowie's worst, he's better than KISS' worst. But that's just my opinion.
