Kms cassettes are back in a big way. I tried bidding on a high end siny walkman and it went for $370. Some small record companies are putting out new cassettes. Amoeba records in hollywood are expanding tape section.
I have a nakamichi dragon 2 tape deck which is unbelievable. Played with a good amp and a pair of vintage western electric speakers and its mind blowing compared to cd or mp3.

Speaking of old formats......Books A Million are selling turntables and records in their brick and mortar stores...

I miss my old Heart albums. Just to go on a Heart marathon...anytime I wanted to hear Ann Wilson's voice. Ah...brings back memories of the olden days.

my tapes were all VVI and Lick it up. I didn't listen to too much else. I remember Queen of the reich and maybe the first WASP tape too.

I emailed him a letter of praise and some artwork two years ago and he sent back a short, snotty response with my name in quotes like I was lying about who I was and asked who sent me. He also added a little rant about the "hate forum".

Yea, July 2011, I sent him a letter thanking him for his influence and basically praising him. Had to go back and find exactly what he said... I knew he had mentioned something about the "hate forum"... copied and pasted below:

I'm thinking he's just paranoid in general after the box set fiasco and believes everyone's out to get him.

he has no idea that if you boot a fan they will no longer like you. its madness. he had thousands of members and booted most of them. Now at least 1000 of his biggest fans dont like him. I am guessing he only really has 500 fans that follow what he does and maybe 100 who would buy anything that he puts out. Yes the kiss fans will buy but not die hard vv fans.. so in terms of fan numbers he fucked himself more than he can imagine. booting members off his board had a worse result than the boxset in my opinion. At the end just before he booted me from my own board I couldn't believe the shit he was doing.. booting members.. faking members and deleting 8000 posts one night. the problem everyone thought it was me doing it because vv had not officially said he was moderating.

the only way vv can ever make a come back is if he has no say in anything and has some intellegent person running it. Can never happen, he has to scheme and hype shit up that will only fail.

Yes he definitely knew both my name and my wife's name as we had been corresponding with Metaluna Records regarding the Archives.

this forum started because he was heavy duty editing fans posts on the dv board. just by signing up to this board while his was running we were labelled HATERS!!

didn't someone put together a small summary of history/events in case this question came up?

This forum was started while Vinnie was killing the DoubleV forum, but anonymously.

We went live when he eventually locked DoubleV down after losing another court battle. You would think he would have been used to it?

I got the boot from Vinnie after I helped him do a invasion on this board. We were asked by Vinnie to write curse words and write on every page then u guys would have to shut down to delete what we wrote. I posted and got booted from here which I new I would then I wrote on vv forum and said I will not come to this forum any more. Then that night I got the boot which I did not understand why I was deeply depressed nd was not eatin g and my body shut down and I was in the hospital for a week. I was trying to get back on vv forum I emailed him from my hospital bed telling him that I would die if he would not let me back on my husband emailed him as well. My husband told him about my death threats all they did was email my husband saying to him handle your wife and don't try to put Vinnie as a cause for death to her. Now I know looking back that to me I'm going to listen to Vinnie music knowing how much he needs help and I look at my pictures of him wondering what was on his mind. Call me crazy but that's what I feel
