I've watched this video a few times this week.

I dig Rob's style. 8) 8) 8) That is how I like my Rock-N-Roll. Attitude above all.Creepy, Freaky,Sincere, GRANDIOSE, ...

He had all of us saying," WHAT THE FUCK ????"

I have told my bandmates this for years. It doesn't need to make sense in the realms of Rock. Get a REACTION !!!!

Please share more, Rob !!!!

I have slash dimarzios in it, Its set up for open G right now for a few stones tunes and zeps dancing days that we do. They do a nice job for that type of sound when the pickups are rolled down just a bit.

The vid was part of a lesson I did for friend that lives too far to get together. He was at that point he wanted to get away from the same old box pentatonic runs. I get too geeky and excited when talking or showing concepts to actually teach. Not that I know more than anyone else, I just start babbling past what that person needs at the moment and get a lot of "what the hell" wheres that D chord again?

Right on Rob! I dig that and thought that was some tasty playing. Just what I would expect from a respected luthier! I was having trouble imagining the guy in the video that you posted working on guitars LOL :-)

Tell us what you think of that Blackstar. One of my buddies Jixter Tate just bought one in addition to having some cool Roland Combo's, An Orange Amp and an Egnator that he loves. I've read good things about Blackstar Amplification but I haven't got to play through it yet.

I really like the Blackstar it was kinda leap of faith buying it untested, I had ordered a Marshall 205h and freaking hated it but wanted that type of platform 50 watt 2 channel / 2 mode midi switching and tube . A guy I know did a tour with a blackstar supported back line and just really liked them, he ended buying the series 100. The amp has a lot of diversity is built like a tank and sounds great on all channels.

The Marshall sheep guys dont like them but everyone I've talked to only have played the HT 5 lower end amp thats like playing a Marshall mini then saying Marshalls suck.. Amps and guitars are pretty much tools to me I need this to do this kinda thing. So I go with what sounds great and does the job I need it to with out breaking down, no matter the name on it.

I remember having a conversation with a customer, he was a huge BB king fan and was talking about spending money on this special modded Fender Twin he had Obed Khan do. "" Obed is a really good amp tech and builder and lives in town and pricey but deserves it" Just to sound like BB , I go hey that's cool, I am sure it sounds great but BB used solid state Lab series 5 amps live and Laney Solid states on a lot of his best recordings .but the majority of his work was done with Solid state. He was like OOOhhh really?
I guess my point is everybody loves pie, not everybody loves pecan pie and some people are always wanting someone else's pie.
