Labor

A quote from Mark Slaughter :
Mark: "This many years later I still look back on those years and have great love for them and I don’t have ANY ill feelings towards Vinnie, I just think we’re just two different people. I think he’s a great talent, I think he should still be making records. I think instead of talking about the record we made in 1987 I think he should just make a new record and BE that person just making new music. I think he needs to take whatever he’s working on and finish it because if you don’t finish it, if you don’t abandon that art and you just keep laboring on it what happens is it becomes a hybrid of what it once was. Vinnie has plenty of music in him."

My questions for Vinnie are:
When did a labor of love become just LABOR ?
What made you not give a fuck anymore?
Your gonna let people like Dana, Gene and Paul, and various suits, steal the most precious thing from you ? HAPPINESS !!!!
It is in your blood. You haven't stopped playing or writing .
You loved playing and sharing music when you were young and broke.
Did the business really sour you? How could it rob you of a joy that existed before you had cash ?
The advice that I give to a few people dear to me on a daily basis is, "Protect your smile. Never give someone the power to take it from you!"
When you were happy, you succeeded. You weren't just happy BECAUSE you succeeded.
You seem to have been miserable for many years HENCE no success.
Find your happiness again. It is within your family and your music. It is within yourself.
Amen and pass the tater tots !
