I stopped at the bookstore today and flipped through this magazine.
I love that there was a small live LIU shot(with Vinnie) in Paul's article.
The small picture of Vinnie for the RATING section had him represented in makeup.
COTN and LIU were spoken highly of.
Vinnie's character was called the "Ankh" in the article by, I believe, Paul.
Both Paul and Gene were
VERY complimentary on the topic of Vinnie's playing and of course said his personality was shitty.
Gene said that Vinnie has sued and lost 14 times. He said Vinnie's time in KISS was torture.
Gene , however, put a compassionate spin on it by saying that he doesn't wish Vinnie's life on anyone because Vinnie has went through A LOT in his life. (This obviously not counting the latest tragedy
)
Gene said it was sad that Vinnie couldn't realize the opportunity that he had.
Gene called Vinnie "a sneaky guy " because Vinnie came to dinner with him and EVH... BLA BLA BLA
I'm sure no one minded Vinnie's company at the time. In fact, Vinnie loaned an instrument to EVH before this instance (I believe it was YEARS before this ).
I believe that they look on their time with Vinnie with different shades of regret.
Sad for Vinnie and also sad that KISS lost his talent.
As for their opinion on Mark, BOTH OF THEM WERE VERY HARSH AND WERE THE CRUELEST I HAVE EVER HEARD THEM SPEAK OF A FORMER KISS GUITARIST.
