It would be fun to have an E-bow or a sustainer pickup.

I've never used one but it's always seemed interesting.

i've also used it to create eastern melodies for an art expo.
With a few other effects,i can emulate the sound of a flute(hopefully that will be posted in the future).But you cna also emulate cello, harmonica and other instruments.
When used properly-with the right palm muting technique- you can create many cool sounds,especially combined with some effects.

Came up in conversation as he had spotted that I'd purchased a Fernandes Ravelle for my daughter & it basically has a Infinite Sustainer System built in. Basically E-bow on every string @ the same time. Hold chords, notes whammy tricks. Pretty cool.

I was just reading a blog post by Phil Collen that he used the Ebow on Hysteria, and it was a lot of work, but now he uses the sustainer system built into his guitars, pretty much what Fernandes invented and other companies now use.
