Nice article indeed.

Is this a story that wouldn't be printed in an issue, just for online?

I sure would hope so. I thought it was excellent. I was shocked to see the article today on Yahoo music. I hope Vinnie responds to Rolling Stone and does an exclusive interview with them. I'm starting to think that maybe all these years that RS didn't dislike "KISS" as much as they disliked G&P. Something could have happened years ago. I think it was personal.

Pretty crazy to see an actual feature on Vinnie prominently displayed via major media outlets. Look at RS, he's in the primary position on their home page feature rotator:

Also, he is positioned in the main feature rotation on Yahoo:

As for the feature itself, a bittersweet read. Bittersweet in that it shines Vinnie in a positive light while leaving behind a haze of disappointment and confusion. The piece was well-written, and interesting in the sense that who would fathom an actual three-page feature on VV penned by an objective journalist? This line, in particular, stuck out to me:

He wasn't Eddie Van Halen, but he wasn't far off.

In other words, yeah, he was that good.

Wow, Rolling Stone mag.
Was really good, but imagine if they went into depth on how much he ripped of his fans, Dino & Tom Palecki.

As of 2010 he did. Last time anyone asked Felix about vv I know of. V's daughters speak once in a while to Felix's daughter. I think when kiss invited vv's daughters back stage recently felix's daughter commented. The back house is not owned by vinnie only the front one which he still lives in. Dianes parents own back house.

Yes pictures on this board and their fb. Maybe 1 or 2 years ago when kiss played at a local casino to them. Pictures of gene and pail hugging them back stage.

The strange thing in the article is the comment from Felix Cavaliere that Vinnie went through a lifestyle change and he only spoke to him once in many years.

Please correct me if I'm wrong about the quote. It just hit me as an extremely open-ended comment that could easily be misinterpreted. :? :? :? :?

Felix told a few people he still talks to vv. Yes what does lifestyle change mean?

gUYS I just saw this on Robert's facebook. Didn't know about Diane..so sad. :? But if I was him I would move from that house too.. and on where he might be now well..we all know he has this way of disappearing all the time. I really hope he's with his family now because Vinnie living alone,is a danger.

Living as a rock star to living as a recluse in Nashville is certainly a lifestyle change.

I do not imply that nor would I judge someone for that. :)

I honestly hope he doesn't. Vinnie needs to stop suing people.

I took "lifestyle change" as moving to Nashville where there's still access to the music industry, but it's tremendously more relaxed here. Pathetic as it sounds, if I'm in a music store, I scope it out for Vinnie! He may have personality problems, but in my opinion, he did drag KISS out of the boring stuff and back into being KISS. I was shocked to learn that Diane had died. That has to be hard losing both wives (even though he wasn't still married to AnnMarie when she was murdered).

I believe he may mean that he dresses as a women. I have nothing against it but we have heard more recently and many people including grover jackson , ex lawyers and many others have said this.
