Crappy Ankh makeup in this one. Used yellow instead of gold. The wig really ruined it.

Yes, he never put the makeup on after Kiss where it looked good, always a bit weird, never the same as the Kiss days.

Looks gold to me but not good gold..but looks like the cheap make up. I remember kiss only use a new york brand of clown white. My guess vv had his wife run to kmart to get whatever junk they had.
The wig is wrong. Vv's look in kiss apart from wig cover was easily the best vv look forward me, and his real hair way way better. The north American lick it up tour and the 1989 dean Markey ad was the best vv hair and look.

I actually thought, when put on correctly, that Vinnie's make-up design could actually be one of the best for KISS. The check-bones need highlighting (I think that was part of the design). There's a nice book in the KISS box set that has some wonderful VV pics where the lighting really makes the make-up look incredible.

Highlighting/contouring done with makeup does make such a huge difference.
This makeup here just bugged me lol.

Have to agree . . . this make-up was not what it should have been. Wonder why he didn't go all out to do it right. Oh well
