Before comments get out of hand, I don't believe anyone in Kiss had a hand in the artwork or storyline of these comics so ...
Someone wearing The Fox makeup appears later in the comic so I believe they were just covering all of the characters.
I am sure the writers were being smart-asses by using the NIGHTMARE reference though.

Is that from one of the recent Kiss collaboration comics?. I have those but never read them.
