Brian May, Freddie, John, Roger
Their worst product is still light years beyond what a lot of bands can pull off.
At this time,my children request Queen music more than any other band. When the music is so complex yet easy enough for children to digest, well, that's just the mark of an incredible band.
The inner and outer gate fold of the "News Of The World" album hang proudly in my living room. I remember the impression that album's music and artwork made on me . Without forcing it on my children and witnessing how it affects them really proves the power of music. I wouldn't play it around them if they didn't request it. They run the juke box !!!
A doll of Freddie stands mightily on our mantle with his fist held triumphantly in the air. I like to think that Freddie would love how corny it is.

Arguably the greatest band ever! Genius writing, arranging and production! Although I hate Radio Ga Ga and We will Rock You! I still don't own an album though!!!!

I listen to enough music now!!!

Radio Ga Ga sounds like a silly little song yet my friend's band just learned it and I realized how many chords are in that fucker. The song actually has a deep meaning and because of the video, it still has an impressive hold over a concert crowd. There is a great tribute band called ALMOST QUEEN that plays this. The audience at their concerts can't help but do the choreography. It is still impressive.
Watch the Live Aid concert and tell me that doesn't move you.

You beat me to it!
QUEEN
My all time favourite band
And the Live Aid concert is apparantly considered the best live performance of any band..ever!
I have a tiny scar on 4th finger from learning my 1st guitar solo...Crazy Little Thing Called Love.
Those bends nearly killed me!
Brian..everyone already says it, but you ARE a bloody legend!!

Oh yeah, my band used to play Crazy Little Thing Called Love. Cool solo in that one, but our new drummer had trouble with the timing in certain parts so we dropped it.

I dig the fact when people are confident enough to go natural. It's hard to see people age because it means we are aging as well.
Jimmy Page looked awkward for a few years when he was dyeing his hair jet black. He looks much cooler now with long, gray hair.

It actually looks like he's wearing one black glove ala' some of you guys' favorite movie !!!

I'm going grey too, and I'm determined NOT to dye.
Thing is, Brian even looked a little humourous with it naturally black!.
So much hairy frizzin around
love ya Brian !

Queen - what can you say? They were the Best of all from a great era of artists... Nobody could touch Mercury on stage... He owned the stage and captivated the audience.. I wish I had the opportunity to see them live
For me their best performance was also Live Aid in '85! That performance resparked their success in USA and introduced them to a younger generation in the 80's...
What a Band!

...i think they were lagging a bit worldwide, including the UK, and yes, that performance was a definate wake up call for the whole world....and it was bare bones basics, not even trying, and so freegan good !

Live Aid was such an amazing event & time, I remember watching it on tv as a kid it was on all weekend & I loved it! I got the box set back in '05 and it was interesting watching the Philadelphia gig in comparison to London! Totally different vibe!

Remember, the neck is the same width at the nut as it is at the 24th fret!!!! Brian says it freaks people out when they first play one!

Brian May Guitars released an AFFORDABLE version of his guitar with a start-style trem for about $700.00 U.S.
Guild made some great versions as well with different options.
I have seen Dillon Guitars make a REALLY affordable version for pennies.
When I was at Summer NAMM a few months back

,I played a version of the Red Special that was to spec.
AWESOME. I don't know how they still make it. They were bragging how Brian doesn't like them making it. I understood that Brian sued them .
Brian May Guitars makes an EXACT REPLICA of the Red Special for about $5,000.00 U.S.The neck is
HUGE. I still want that guitar.

Hey Rick,
The one you played, was that the Dillon ?
There's a NZ fella selling em on ebay or 895 delivered to Aus but i haven't investigated whether they're legit or just what he thinks they should be.
It really is a gloriuos looking piece of equipment.

No, The guitar I played was a RS Custom. I still want the OFFICIAL Brian May model. The guy representing the RS Guitars seemed proud that Brian May was upset with them.

The recent(ish) release of Days Of Our Lives was on TV a few months back.
So much footage I've never seen as a HUGE Queen fan!!!
Freddie says something like
We have good vocal range with Brian doing the warm low vocals, me in the middle and Roger sounds like a neighbours screaming cat !
Haha. Funny bastard
