Is it true Vinnie can't play anymore?

I read somewhere recently that he can't even play guitar anymore, I thought it was weird at the kiss conventions he didn't solo at all. Is there any truth to that or does anybody know? If it's true it's a real bummer.

At the VVFF. A very reliable source saw her mouth move and heard the words come out.
