Vinnie's Fireballs?

Something was posted on one of the Facebook groups relating to a Kiss show on March 21, 1983 in Normandy.
The post made reference to a part of the show where Vinnie supposedly released "fireballs" from his hands. Apparently this was the only show where this stunt was performed.
Anyone have any more details on this? I'd not heard about it before. Any ideas why it was dropped?
Thanks.

Did a bit of hunting around. There's reference to it here - third column last paragraph:

Nice, but I don't think it happened, it's just massive KISS hyperbole, very normal for that time period. If KISS were as big as in 77/78 with Vinnie and Eric on board, yeah, probably, but the money was not around to do such things in 82/83. Sadly.

I feel invested in this topic now.
Here's the audio from the show in question (its actually at Norman Oklahoma, not "Normandy" France!):
Listen to the segment from 35:12 onwards (during VV's solo). Vinnie is hammering on his fretboard in the same way that Ace did to build the suspense when he shot rockets from his guitar. At 35:31 and 35:44 something happens. There's a reaction from the audience who are close to the recording equipment, "wow!" and you can hear a single pyro going off at both points. Listening to other VV solos from the same tour, that "thing"/event whatever it is, doesn't occur.
If shooting fireballs from his hands was a thing, having Vinnie do it during his solo would be the obvious time for him to do it.
There's something during his solo at this show that seems different to other shows from the same time for sure.
Interesting stuff.

Most likely what we are hearing is KISS style flashbombs. How would Vinnie shoot anything from his hands in the middle of a solo? Where would the point of origin be? He would need something extra on his person, and obviously very safe, to make this happen.
I would love it to be true but think of the logistics of it all, the fact the tour was not well attended and therfore not making much money and that the tour was almost over at this point.
If there was going to be somewhere for Vinnie to do something like this it would have been in Brazil, which at the time of the show was not a definite thing, that was a very shonky little tour when it finally happened. Promotors tried to get them there before but that KISS wasn't interested. 1982 KISS, after The Elder were like, "we're listening"....LoL....

Wow, that's cool and super dangerous at the same time! Imagine what it would take to do this in 1982/3?
Like when Ace would have a smoking guitar or shoot rockets, it was a special guitar he would get just when he needed to use it.
At what part of a show could Vinnie conceivably shoot fireballs from his hands? He would have to walk offstage, put on whatever gear that could do it, maybe some safety gloves etc and then wander back out during the show to do the trick, then go back offstage, get his guitar and continue the show.
This is just how I think about it logistically and with the show in mind, as playing with fire is very dangerous.
Sadly, KISS were surely crapping on in that press release, like when they said Ace had an accident and would "try" to play shows on the tour. Neither of these things were going to happen, but it sounds better than the alternative.

Vinnie could have had a fireball shooting trick quite easily, safely and inexpensively. It's a simple magicians' stage gag that's been around for years.
The singer for the The Bar Kays used to do it when it came out on stage:

Wow, this so cool. The whole Dan Reed Network, Nile Rogers, Prince, the Time vibe.
Very cool. Need to get me some of that.
