MTV Broadcast the Nightmare Returns Tour on the 31st from Joe Louis Arena

BILLBOARD 11/22/1986 had a review of the concert from Joe Louis Arena. The part about VVI
The Vinnie Vincent Invasion opened the evening with a half-hour set featuring speed-metal versions of songs from the group's self-titled Chrysalis debut album. Any subtleties of the album versions of those tunes were lost, but the quartet proved to be a more than adequate rabble-rouser to warm up the crowd for Cooper

Also a write up about "Boyz" video in the Video Track section
The greatest number of pyro effects in a music video (up till that time). 5 Compton, CA fire marshals were on set.

The Video had debuted the week before on Billboard. In this issue it had gone into Breakout Rotation on MTV. It would have a long run of rotation on MTV.

If only they had recorded the Invasion as well as Alice, such a wasted opportunity.

More of a waste, not having Robert tour. Mark came into his own after ASG, working with his own material obviously. Ah well.....
