I tend to agree that $tanley and $immon$ would have more than likely stitching VV up on payments and income. Even Eric Carr spoke about this in regards to himself. When $tanley and $immon$ are talking about how they were struggling in that whole transitional period, their struggles are not like the average everyday Joe's struggles. Yer, Gene & Paul may have had to cut back on some of their spending, but there is no way they were living paycheck to paycheck, week to week. Can not see Paul Stanley from KISS roughing it.

Yeah, Gene and Paul never roughed it. It's hard to fathom what their finances look like, for them vs us. With Ace and Peter gone, it was their band, they were there from the start, so there is that. It was never equal partners with the new people, which is understandable.

I'm sure if Gene & Paul never did anything musically ever again at that point, they still had Nice Bank Account's and could have lived comfortably for the rest of their lives on Royalties from Album & Merchandise Sales....I don't blame Vinnie for not signing that Contract, especially when you trying to raise a Family and Provide for them, if only Gene & Paul hadn't been so F*cking Cheap and put their Ego's to the side, Vinnie & Kiss could have produced some Amazing Music and they all would have lived, Happily Ever After !

KISS would have definitely made the best music with Vinnie in the band, but Vinnie would have sabotage tings likes he has the past 6 to 7 years. Carmine Appice warned Gene and/or Paul early on.

Yeah, it still would never have happened. Vinnie could have been given an amazing contract. He'd have signed it, and then started wanting so much more, demanding it.

Let's not kid ourselves, Vinnie is the one with the loaded gun pointed at his own foot.

Interesting to hear that Vinnie was getting more than other guys were! He was not doing so bad for 1983, he's just got issues. So many other guys made it work with less.

I'm not going to Debate what Vinnie would or would not do if he had continued on with Kiss, but here is just a little food for thought....though I'm not a Musician I know personally what it's to be underpaid, unappreciated and taken advantage of, yet when I finally found a job, that respected me, appreciated my efforts and actually paid me what my Position was truly worth, My Demeanor definitely changed and I evolved into the "Happy Team Player" that I clearly wasn't at the last job ....Money Talks Bullshit Walks !!!

I saw The Kings Of Thrash last night, it was sooo cool seeing Jeff Young and Chris Poland playing. Playing like Vinnie can't for one!

I did some googling on Chris and found this fairly recent interview where he talks about the situation that got him fired:

“I was late for a band meeting where Dave was giving everybody their $200 weekly salary for being in Megadeth. And I couldn’t get there.”

“I didn’t have a car. And I get there and they’re gone. And so I called Dave up, and I said, ‘Dave, I need my per diem,’ and he’s like, ‘Well, you should have been there.’ And I said, ‘Dave, I couldn’t be there. I couldn’t get a car, I couldn’t get a ride.’”

“And then of course he’s just telling me to fuck off,” the guitarist recalls. “And so then we just got into it. I dared him to fire me, and he did.”

Late for a band meeting where everybody got their $200 weekly salary.....Times were tough in the 80's!

Paul was nearly bankrupt and living with gene before he met his wife and suicidal just before his solo album live to win. He lost most of his money. Obviously now he's ok but it's not always what people think
