One of the reasons I picked up the guitar in the first place.

What a sad day for rock n roll!
I woke up to Ace being on life support, to he had passed away within the hour.
Hard to believe still.

So sad to hear.
While we may have ripped on his playing lately, no doubt as n3p stated, Ace was one of the main reasons many here picked up the guitar.
I was okay until the radio started playing I Was Made for Loving You as I was driving. Like when EVH passed and they played Panama, I got a case of the chin wobbles.

Yes, it is sad. But one must remember, Ace lived a life of 10 men.
At the end, he may not have had the $tanley or $immon$ kind of ca$h or lifestyle, but he did great for a punk kind from the Bronx, N.Y.
And in the words of Frank Sinatra, 'he did it his way'.
If you are feeling sad, think of a legend like Randy Roads. Almost an unsung hero in the mainstream. That poor kind had so much to live for, yet he was taken at such an early age. There is no Rhyme or reason why shit happens, it just does. Enjoy your days on this spinning dust bowl, cause like the blink of an eye, 10 years pass, and you don't even realize it. Go for a walk in the Sunlight, hug your mom, pat your dog - as all too soon, the great Equalizer will get us all.
