The control knobs are missing as well. And to add, the Floyd was given a route to facilitate pull ups on the bar, just like what was done to some of his Rhoads and the Mom

Who knows man, maybe it's the lure of it being a pink/silver Jackson, though not one he was known to use and certainly not one that's been played in a LONG time. Would have been much cooler to see him with a guitar in nice and playing condition, to indicate he still does play.

Don't forget the vvi official press line and what vv said in interviews at the time was that at the end of the iron maiden tour vv ran over his pink Jackson vv with their tour bus due to the color and the fact he wanted to change vvi's image. He most likely added the white tape to it to go in line with that story while the pink guitar was being repainted. These types of lies were very common and acceptable back then. Your label would encourage it at the time.

I really don't think the guitar in this expo promo was ever used on any tour. I have seen one picture before the first your with it but never live.

i remember someone telling a story about finding a pink VVV on a dumpster and that was V's guitar that was ran over by the bus,

Remember he said he talked to vv outside the whiskey . Then the guy disappeared. The funniest one was vv had joined Simply Red and was writing all their songs and recording in Rockfield studios in Wales (where Queen recorded there albums).

Also note that the Bill Evans "flip-over" lock nuts have been replaced by standard lock nuts....but that doesn't matter since there's no wang on there to string up!
