I think you have a point, although, it´s got nothing in there that´s
"note for note" but the structure is similar.

I do wanna say Thank You! to you also for bringing Laurindo
to my knowledge who I knew nothing about, great Classical/Bossa player.
The record with him and The Modern Jazz has the same song with the
same guitar intro and I´m pretty positive in that a serious guitarist like Vinnies (and age) had that recording in his collection of Guitar Greats from 60´s - 70´s.
Its avail at itunes.
Every now and then I hear stuff thats kinda "Y know", like some small elements in John Renbourn "Hermit" ( Eminor7Flat5 to A7) and
naturally the Chet A. stuff and god knows what else. Ted Greene?
I think it´s great.

I believe it´s always been included on any CD issue ?
It was not included on the old Vinyl Version"back in the day".

yeah, it was a bonus for buying the CD. I bought all three formats X2 on the day it came out. In fact I got it the night before as I begged the guy in the store to sell it to me. I also pre-ordered it and got a few more the following day. Over kill i think. That was the hight of VV for me.

I always thought "Shot" sounded more like a Chet Atkins influence than anything else. There's loads of Chet on YouTube, but here's an example:

yes, the "Yankee Doodle Dixie" part abvoiusly comes from an old Chet record.
Chet used his Gretches for the most part but Vinnie´s using a very "Trebly" Nylon/
Classical type guitar I think. Sorry for saying this but I also believe its ever so slightly
sped up. like a 1/4 step os so. Just an idea. I love it!
