ha, mark playing vv's guitar. that's funny. it seems to me vinnie only used the carvin on the asg tour. never saw any pictures with the jackson. my theory was it was having a second humbucker added during the tour.

Vinnie DID use the Jackson on the tour . he used it in Columbus ,Ohio. Can someone post the tour dates for both albums. I'm curious as to when the Grombacher incident was.

I wonder who put the neck pickup in the Jackson? What a shit job. Look closely at the pickup ring and how the corners had to be shaved down. I bet Vinnie caught his hand on that shit a few times.

Yeah crazy! Since he had plenty of room to have it closer to the bridge as it's only a 22 fret guitar, a half inch from the neck would have been neater!

its clear to me that pick up was added and is the same silver one that had the one pick up and before that was a pink one.
by the way VVI broke up in August 1988 so the title of this thread is not correct. no '89.

Oh yeah, that pic I love. It looks really cool mainly cause it's a scan drew did, or he just photographed the photo, so it has that look about it. Either way, love that sparkle paint.

i think the purple on the jackson is lighter and has a more pink tint than the AZG/Guitarmageddon version. I think the purple is not exact on the new version.

Vinnie only did 3 tours.
Opening for Alice Cooper, Opening for Iron Maiden between 86 and 87
And then headlining clubs in the summer of 88 (last show end of august 88 when Mark, Dana and Bobby left).
