Chris Impellitteri Dean "Shred Spider" prototype (1 of 1). I don't recall posting this anywhere. It never went into production. I've had it for a while now...

That neck is fully sanded!
Drew the guitar miner strikes gold again!
It was a work in-progress regarding the neck. I know it was still a point of contention with Chris last they left it. I'm sure Chris was sanding it too

How do you get these things?
Good question Vic! I was the catalyst behind Chris coming in as a Dean endorser. Chris and I had been talking by phone one night and he told me he wanted a signature model. The last time he tried with Fender in the late nineties ended up as a Japan-only release and a very, very limited run (I actually have one) until they were discontinued. As fate would have it, this was an even "less" limited run. Suffice as to say, Chris is now working with Michael at Charvel. Chris is in Cali so I'm sure it was a lot easier to work out the kinks. Chris gave me this guitar as a "thank you" and I consider him a friend.
Drew, can you tell Chris to practice more? That "slow hand" is just so 1970's!
