Vinnie at the Klein Memorial
Vinnie at the Klein Memorial
Hey Guy's, I have never shared this e-mail with anyone but now I think the Time has come....
This e-mail was in regards to Vinnie possibly coming back to Bridgeport,Ct in 2011 ....billed as "The Return of Vinnie Vincent" at the 1,400 seat Klein Memorial in Bridgeport, needless to say it never panned out, nor did a 2nd attempt a few years back at The Bijou Theatre in Bridgeport also !
I'm sure I will catch some heat for releasing this....yet I can sleep good knowing that I really tried to make it happen, I hope the music that Vinnie promises, the music that "We'' all have waited so long for truly see's the light of day....until then, my Best to all of You here at the VVFF !

In response to your inquiries,
1. You have Vinnie's permission to mention him by name.
2. Cost: If someone is putting money up for the show, they pay all expenses, including but nto limtied to rental of the venue for the evening, appropriate security, all advertising, and anything else connected with the concert (i.e. travel, 1st class food/lodging for VV and his musicians, costs associated with proper sound system, etcl.) Whether these costs would be recouped against 100% of the gross would have to be negotiated, however, Vinnie's non-refundable non-recoupable advance would have to be an advance up front as a guaranty of 50% of the gross of 1,400 seats, ticketed at $100 per seat, which would equate to $70K for the one performance.
3. This would be estimated to take place within 8 months because offers are coming in for special event performances from across the world.
4. You are to define yourself as a a business acquaintence.
Any other questions? Spyder

There may be a few people I may need to talk to but I don't really want to mention Vinnie's name unless I have is OK. These people are going to ask who the artist is and there costs/requests...they are also going to ask how soon this will take place and how (I'm) involved with this??? There going to ask...are You his friend, manager, business associate, tour manager etc ??? I don't want to act like I'm representing Vinnie (BECAUSE I'M NOT) I'm just trying to get this ball rolling !!! Any advise would be helpful...Ed

Re: Vinnie at the Klein Memorial
"Offers are coming in for special event performances from across the world." While I hate to badmouth Vinnie, I actually laughed at this, considering how things have turned out. 13 years later, and not a single note of new music, unless you're willing to drop hundreds (thousands?) to take a chance on buying a non-refundable ticket to see if he feels like playing one of his studio sessions. It's really too bad. If he would just release the damn albums already, it would go such a long way to shutting down a lot of the negativity around him.
Re: Vinnie at the Klein Memorial
This is classic Vinnie circa this time. That's his old address and he's pretending to be Spyder. Faking Spyder as an admin on his board is one thing, but why would he want to use someone called that to negotiate his business dealing makes no sense.
Offers are always coming, from all over the world. We know this to be true due to all those shows, all over the world, that Vinnie has been doing these past 35 years.
Is there anymore email after this, before this? Good work "trying" to get Vinnie to do show in 2011, but yeah, that's like trying to take the fire from a dragon, an impossible quest.
A question I have is why he pretends so much that he will do something. That it's acutally possible. He barely has a band now, he had no band at all back then, just him, asking for crazy things to play shows he's never going to play.

Re: Vinnie at the Klein Memorial
thanks for sharing Ed.
Just incrediable conditions.
whoever is setting this up pays for everything, whether you get that back or not is to be negotiated. WTF ?
and a 70k non-refundable deposit. just wow.
Now way would he turn up!
Free 70k or play for a possible 140k ?
He'd take the 70k for sure.

Re: Vinnie at the Klein Memorial
True that. This is basically like Vinnie is fishing, looking to get any easy money possible as the deposit is non-refundable. We all know nothing would have happened, so you lucked out there Ed, everyone could have been out a LOT of money!

Re: Vinnie at the Klein Memorial
No one would go for that deal.
He just doesnt understand basic business.
No one, NO ONE, would go that deal, if it was VV (which is close to a nobody except for a handful of people), or Paul Gilbert, Yngwie, ANYONE !
Farkkk me dead dude, get a clue !
Maybe then, maaaaybe, you'll start making some decent coin.
You've got next to nothing to sell and your prices and conditions are a f&(**^cking joke.
Where's the product?
Diddley squat.

Re: Vinnie at the Klein Memorial
Vic, yes there were a few back & forth e-mails but those were never saved, remember this interaction was 7 years before Vinnie's 2018 Atlanta Expo Appearance, now I'm not a Derrick Christopher or Neil Davis type Promoter looking to make a Buck, I was merely a "Fan" trying to get Vinnie to return and play in his "Hometown" of Bridgeport, with hopes of getting the snowball rolling and maybe a small club tour would evolve....As for money or demands naturally there was some Risk, yet myself and some "Italian $$$ Backing" were willing to take the chance, Spyder eventually reached out to me before the Mass Exodus and said "Vinnie" appreciates all the effort you have given and for all the Heartfelt Memories of Bridgeport you've given him, unfortunately Vinnie has decided to shut down the "Forum" due to the Vile & Hatred of others and wishes you his best !
Re: Vinnie at the Klein Memorial
It's funny how other people can apparently affect Vinnie so much, and he will no longer do something.
Gene put it in a song, living well is the best revenge. And for Vinnie that revenge would have been in the form of doing well. Doing a tour. Releasing product. Showing the "haters" what is what and not giving a crap cause he's doing so well.
Instead we get nothing and the "haters" are proven correct, time and again.

Re: Vinnie at the Klein Memorial
Yikes!
Promises made, crying in vain, all empty. Never accepting the blame and not letting go of the shame. A river of tears, as months turn to years, all wasted. On someone not willing to change. Now only a shadow remains!
Re: Vinnie at the Klein Memorial
Also, was any band charging $100 for a ticket back in 2011? I can't think of many, and certainly not of the size/popularity of VV back then (or now).
Its dreamland stuff.

Re: Vinnie at the Klein Memorial
Hey buddy, this is VINNIE VINCENT we are talking about here!
Consider yourself lucky he was only charging $100 and pray he does not alter the price further!!!
