Me news feed is filled with different versions of Vinnie being laughed at for how he's "releasing" his album, an overpriced single at a time, and refusing to do it different, holding the music hostage.

I tell ya, and it's suprising to say this all things considered, but it's never been more embarrasing to be a fan of Vinnie Vincent and his music.

Just when you think he can't make things any worse, he finds a way.

Peter Criss just released his full album, vinyl, cd and digital download for those that purchased the album, but no, Vinnie needs fan support, ie, your money, before anything even might be released.

$25 shipping in the US, crazy. $100 shipping overseas, for a single CD, INSANE!!!!!!

Just put this out Vinnie, talk to Peter, ask him to tell you the secrets of being able to release things in this day and age, and only charge a good shipping price please.
That's because Peter got paid a fortune to come back to KISS. Peters not going to make hardly any money off the 3,000 or so he'll end up selling. It's a shame Peter's new release isn't very good. How few would it have moved if people weren't buy every "color version" they had? I bought it. Listened to it a few times. Doubt I'll pull it out much more.

Keep in mind that's shipping and handling. Not just shipping.

I recently bought an album from a Nashville based singer. I think the cd was $17 or so. S/H was $15. People love "handling"

Obviously its not true ..... now he is releasing a song ride the serpent thats online and should have certainly not made it to the guitars from hell release... but he releasing a song that sounds like shit instead of the new songs he said he recorded ? Hmmm.. clearly lies as he is so scared to loose very bad music poorly mixed with Robert's demo vocals from around 1990. .. it clearly shows vinnie cant make new music . And is clutching on to the very little he has ... if he had new music he wouldn't be worried about garbage album fillers at best

Why would he use Robert's demo vocals instead of the finished vocals Robert had recorded for the album?

I don't think a "finished" vocal exists. All Robert did was go in there to help Vinnie out, and then it all fell apart and no chance to do more, so what Robert did initially is what we get. It sounds fine, we just will never know how much better it might have been. No way Robert could sing like that now, so the old stuff is all Vinnie can use. Robert barely remembers doing it.

I remember interviews with Robert and he said he had finished his work in the studio. He basically acted like he kept hanging around to babysit Vinnie. He started recording his vocals for the album in Feb 1990. I do remember him talking about Vinnie sharing "rough mixes" with other labels.

Only 2 weeks to go to see if Vinnie hit 500 and 500 or if all the money gets returned. If it does get returned immediately, that should help Vinnie. But if he drags out the refunds, forget about it. I don't think there's anyway he hits 1000 copies at that price. I think he could have easily sold 1000 copies or more of signed/number full album (professionally pressed) at $500 or so. He probably could have cleared $400K or so off it.

Its a good thing Peter Criss doesn't need the money because I doubt he cleared much at all off his recent release. The only way Peter will make any real money off that is if a bunch of people pay $75 to $100 or more to have him sign it at autograph conventions. If I remember, Peter only deals in cash at signings so none of that money is reported to the IRS.

I don't think Peter is obsessed with the money, more the artistic side of releasing this music. He's not gonna lose sleep over how many it's sold or what it did on the charts. It's just great he recorded it and put it out.

It is super doubtful that Vinnie will sell the required 1000 copeis.

I also don't think a $500 (do you know how much that is in other countries like Australia and Canada etc?) album is feasible. It would still make him a laughing stock of the internet, again.

No other artist does this, and Vinnie is waaaaaaaay down the bottom of the list to be the first artist two do so, and be able to justify it to the planet.

Michael Jackson could return from the dead and he would not charge like that for a new album, it's crazy.
