I'm kind of curious about something. From what I understand there have been a number of Vinnie sites and he ends up taking them over. Please correct me if I'm wrong. The thing I don't understand is how does he go about taking over those sites? And what would happen if someone refused to let him have a Vinnie site he wanted? I have made a number of fan sites for bands I like and I'm trying to imagine a scenerio where one of those bands would come to me trying to take over my site. I can't help but laugh at the idea cuz I would say no.
And Genebaby, has Vinnie ever tried to get control over your VVFF? And if not, what would you say/do if he ever tried?

There is zero chance of Vinnie taking over this site. Zero. I set it up because DoubleV had become weird and flaky, and that was Vinnie's doing.
There is nothing he can do or say to take over the VVFF. This place is gonna stand forever.
I'm not sure why Pyro submitted, and we know he tricked Dino, by as Streetbeat says, starting out nice and then showing his true nature.
V is just like the Visitors in the TV show, also known as V. He would be just like Anna (Diana in the old days) telling us that as Guitar God and Fanbase we are at peace, always.
I knew the dv board would end up the way it has but I had to try. I gave him everything for free, board and domain. Could you ever imagine vv would do that to someone else.
Actually the thing that stays with me the most was when he deleted me out of nowhere I told him I was going to use the board mailing list I had previously copied.. to let everyone know I wasnt in charge anymore and that I wasn't deleting people...which he got back to me saying the email list I copied was his property , even though I copied it when I owned the board. It was weird to me that he basically said he owned the board mailing list after giving him the thing for nothing.
Just shows what kind of big time jerk the guy is. The worst person I have ever come into contact with.

Just do your best to move on from it. Use it as a life learning lesson. And we can also hope that Vinnie take's a better and more honest look at his behavior and learns from this stuff...
I don't get why he (Vinnie) would "take over" a site a fan made just to shut it down. I've learned alot about him since I joined this board. I will always be a fan of his music but not of him as a person.
He kind of reminds me of a friend of mine (Brian). Brian, in my opinion, is a very talented guitarist. But I just feel that talent is being wasted on him because he does nothing with it. There are a lot of people who would love to have one percent of Brian's and Vinnie's talent and they would actually put it to use. I just think it's really sad.
I don't believe Vinnie's intentions from the start are to do as badly as he does.
Due to his nature of not liking any kind of negative feedback or constructive critisicm he doesn't like people speaking freely and picking things apart and asking questions.
The DoubleV board was full of that and after the mass deletion of most of it because it did not honor Vinnie Vincent in the proper way he finally shut it down when he last lost in court against Gene and Paul.
This is why Dino is right in saying that Vinnie needs to just have a blog where people can't comment. Comments for the You Tube ad for the guitar were turned off. He doesn't want to know what you think, as it may be bad. He just wants your money for the product, no questions asked.

I don't think he approaches sites/forums with the mindset of 'I'm gunna shut this fucker down'
He goes in nice like any person would when meeting new people, but it only takes time for your real personality to rear it's ugly head and things that seem rediculous to us, seem justified to him and away he goes.
Next thing you know, no website or forum and everyone else is to blame for their stupid actions

A friend of mine has experience all the emotions that are mentioned here with vinnie Vincent when he tried to bring him too England for a kiss Expo he met twice and found vinnie to be cool and spoke highly of his manager a family member also called vinnie,but soon after the 2 vinnies split and that's where my mates nightmare begins.I've tried to get my pal to join vvff and tell the facts as they were,but after 15 years gone vinnies name still makes his blood boil and turns a pleasant man into a pissed off bastard I only know some of the facts and even though VINNIE is a legend with the guitar he's a poor human being and I'm being polite

Personally I think he does want everything shut down apart from what he ownes. He was concerned pyro would start up again . I think he is calculating myself.
The guy who did the Sweden EXPO has written about how bad it was working with v. The English guy also has said something somewhere. I have heard nothing good in relation to v at expos.
Hardly anyone is actually back on the site. This is what Vinnie intended. Whether it does go live again and how Vinnie handles people signing up and actually having an opinion and questioning things will be interesting.
