Not to my knowledge. Dimebag was a huge Ace fan, as we know, but I never heard him talk about Vinnie or the other Kiss guitarists.

Shame, they have a lot more in common and would have gotten on well together musically I think.

i don't know any guitar player VV played with apart from the girl from the Bangles, Paul Stanley, Adam Mitchell and Chet Atkins (but no one knows much about that) . I suppose he would have jammed with Mark Slaughter at some time.

While Dime's playing was great for about two records,Dimebag couldn't hold a candle to Vinnie.

Honestly , not many rock guitarists have the capabilities of Vinnie.

Paul Gilbert matches Vinnie's talents in songwriting, playing , and performing. Very versatile.

Songwriting? I haven't really gotten into anything much that Paul wrote. I know he can play like a mofo, that's for sure.

Well there's a slight song title similarity with Vinnie!!

For me vinnie has the most dramatic style of anyone. I love Friedman, Becker, Gilbert, malmsteen, Lynch, kotzen etc but vv has some extra. He has Drama and contrast! He is often surprising and not afraid to break the rules and take risks.
That's why all the other stuff is pretty depressing.

I love Vinnie's agression, that's what does it for me! But Becker and Kotzen still scare me the most for technique! Metal/rock playing wise that is! Vinnie obviously a better acoustic player! Wish we could hear more of that side of Vinnie!
