Post by Genebaby »

Two Vinnie demos from 1981 - Tears and Back On The Streets.

These are in high quality flac format, so the best sound quality available.

Now that's good stuff. The beginning of 'Back On The Streets ' makes me want to play 'Space Invaders' on my Atari 2600. Vinnie's really belting out those high vocals? NICE!!!

Tears- Good song. I can definitely hear a Rick Springfield-type doing this one.
THINK: Porter Wagoner

You're not far off - the tune ended up on John Waite's album.
He did a great job with it.

Nice avatar of Dave Allen, strangeways! A true comedy genius!!!
Promises made, crying in vain, all empty. Never accepting the blame and not letting go of the shame. A river of tears, as months turn to years, all wasted. On someone not willing to change. Now only a shadow remains! :(

We've known for months that the person singing this version is VVFF friend ,LINDA CHASE. She said she had a cold the day she cut these vocals. Great husky performance.
THINK: Porter Wagoner
