Lick It Up Glam Metal

People keep saying Lick It Up is a glam/hair metal album and I don't get that
It pisses me off!
Not that I care but I just wonder why!
I always thought of it as a balls to the wall hard rock album, their rawest, heaviest work
Not glam metal!!!!!
There's nothing glam about it well ok maybe the title track are pretty glammy I guess but thats it!
Not For The Innocent glam? Young and Wasted glam?? All Hell's glam?? And on the 8th Day glam?????
They took OFF their makeup in '83 so doesnt that mean something
Yeah Animalize THATS when they started the glam image I think but not here
I dont hate it but when I think glam I think of bands with makeup and clothes and pop lyrics
Maybe people just had a different perception of music back then...I wouldnt know I guess =P But some of you guys probably would?

All the bands where doing the post apocalyptic theme then. Jovi, KISS, Icon, Motley Crue, Warrior all doing the post apocalyptic theme, VV had the Pink Jacksons. LIU is a pretty glam metal song. And they wore eyeliner. so in away it was Glam. And KISS had the Glam Shock rock history. And it was for the most part Hair Metal. Especially nowerdays, kids call that tht stuff Glam. I know what your saying...Then with Animalize, KISS did Manowar Glam LOL.

Don't care much for the looks
