Vinnie is now telling us this:

The only Official VINNIE VINCENT "doublev.forumco.com" is now open. " I am posting this factual account of events pertaining to VVI in order to correct Wikipedia's false rendition.
After quitting Kiss following the LIU tour, Vinnie Vincent recorded and produced a song demo containing the songs "Boyz Are Gonna Rock" "Shoot U Full of Love" and No Substitute." Vincent played guitars and bass on all the tracks and Myron Grumbacker played drums. Vincent heard a demo of Robert Fleishman and knew he found the perfect vocalist for his music. Robert was asked to sing on the three song demo Vinnie had recorded. Fleischman and Vincent's chemistry was unmatched. Chrysalis Records New York heard the demo and called Vincent in LA. With Vincent's demo blaring in the background, Chrysalis asked Vincent to fly to New York immediately stating they were anxious to sign Vincent as a solo artist. After months of negotiating, an eight album 4 million deal was born. The common misconception was that a "band" was signed to the label, however, it was Vincent who was signed exclusively to Chrysalis as a "solo artist" off the power of his demo. Vincent began recording and the end result was "VINNIE VINCENT INVASION." A virtual powerhouse of great songs, in your face over the top guitar, great layered intricate harmonies and piercing vocals, VINNIE VINCENT INVASION exploded onto rock radio and became the fastest selling debut album in the history of Chrysalis Records. The name "VINNIE VINCENT INVASION" was actually the name of the solo album which Vincent evolved into a band name. However, despite Vincent's enormous efforts to fit Robert into his contract, Chrysalis, failing to know a good thing when they saw it, destroyed the chemistry, letting Fleischman go unrewarded forcing him to resign. Vincent, disheartened, was forced under duress to tour in support of his explosive "Vinnie Vincent Invasion" with a replacement singer who Vincent felt was woefully substandard to the quality which Vincent had not only strived for in his music, evidenced by the first Vinnie Vincent Invasion album. Watching the quality of his music sinking, Vincent began losing interest in the teeny bopper image that began replacing his original heavy metal vision. Vincent nonetheless moved ahead in order to try and make it work, despite his loss of heart. Vincent began writing songs for the "All Systems Go" album the follow up to VINNIE VINCENT INVASION. Once the recording sessions were underway, it became painfully evident the production, sound and lead vocals were simply poor, lackluster and pale in comparison to Vinnie's first VINNIE VINCENT INVASION. Vincent knew he should have aborted the entire project, which included the "All Systems Go" recording sessions, fired all the salaried employees, and regrouped with Fleischman, following the same recording paths of his original demos, with Vinnie on Guitars and bass, but it was too late. "All Systems Go" was released to Vinnie's dismay. With a dramatic change in Chrysalis management, Vincent was saddled with a situation he had no belief in. Vincent made the conscious decision in 1988 to disband the "group" after his disenchantment with "All Systems Go" and with Chrysalis's new management decision to pander to the "music fad." In late 1988 Vincent, refused to extend Chrysalis the contractual option for a third VINNIE VINCENT INVASION record when Chrysalis accidentally breached their option deadline to renew Vincent's contract in late September 1989. Chrysalis's contract with Vincent had a leaving member clause and option on the salaried employees Vincent used as band mates. Left without Vinnie Vincent under contract, and attempting to capitalize on Vinnie Vincent and Vinnie Vincent Invasion, Chrysalis picked up the option on two remaining employees. The rumors that Vincent was kicked out of his own band was baseless internet gossip, rumor and hearsay, having absolutely no basis in fact. In 1991, British heavy metal magazine "Kerrang" voted the first "VINNIE VINCENT INVASION" album #100 of the 100 best heavy metal albums of ALL TIME. The VINNIE VINCENT INVASION is now a Youtube favorite, whose Vinnie Vincent Compositons include, "Boyz Are Gonna Rock", Shoot U Full Of Love" "Animal" "Love Kills" "Ashes To Ashes" and many others which are now becoming discovered by a new generation of fans. In 1996 Vincent resurfaced to release a demo EP called "EUPHORIA" reuniting with original VVI vocalist Robert Fleischman and recorded the unreleased album "Guitars From Hell". Vincent has plans to re-record the "ALL SYSTEMS GO" album the way it should have been recorded with the Vincent production, inclusive of all guitars, bass and vocals which would bring back the ferocious over the top sound of the first VINNIE VINCENT INVASION album, with Robert Fleishman on vocals

If you read that last sentence again, he's not suggesting that Robert will be on vocals, he's stating that the sound of the re-recorded ALL STSTEMS GO album, with VINNIE on vocals, will sound like the first VVI album which had ROBERT on lead vocals.

ASG is still an awesome album no matter what Vinnie says. Both albums have a couple of "fillers" but they are both up there as my favourite albums.

He said mark was better than Robert and called Robert a studio singer then he says Robert was better and he begets wanted mark , so why did he go to such humiliating levels to say public Robert was not the guy he wanted, why not just say I love mark, no need to go further and put Robert down, contract or not be didn't have to be little Robert. It's hard to know if he ever tells the truth.
Then in 87 he says kiss are like brothers to him and he would love to tour with them, I thought kiss screwed him ????? So why does he love them?????? Up and down like the blue angels.

It's very confusing when it comes to Vinnie... I'm not sure what to believe anymore... Who is going to finance the rerecording of All Systems Go?? It's not like it was a huge album back in the day, don't get me wrong I love it but who is interested in a new version of it apart from die hard DBV or VVff fans??

And does Vinnie have the voice to be able to re-record it 'cheaply'. The guy is 60 so his voice certainly ain't going to be what it was 20 years ago.....which means some 'work' will most likely have to be done to the vocal track.

And I too am mystified as to why he would spend the time, effort and money to re-record an album that really, hardly anyone will buy. To me this seems like someone curtailing on their own fame as it appears he has no confidence in any 'new' material as such.

Good point Paul... Maybe he can't cut the mustard now? Rely on old songs that the fans already love from 20 years ago... Nostalgia with a twist can sell a few units for Vin... Good luck to him, I would love to see him release something, anything!

vinnie should've been the lead singer on ALL of his stuff from the start... prefer his voice over robert's or mark's any day. his vocals on his demo stuff is killer.

I get what he's saying about ASG not having that power VVI had, but it's a nicely produced album. I would much rather have GFH or some un-released/new material. (preferably professionally recorded with a real drummer.)

Actually, I'd be VERY interested in him releasing collections of high quality demos, maybe all together in a box that acts as an "archive" of his musical history...

He has to say shit like that about mark to promote the record. When it crossed the line was when he started saying mark was better than Robert and they wanted mark from the start, which was bellow the belt. And remember he was saying he wanted to re-record the first record with mark, that shit was not contractual, he was just pissed off .

It has come to my attention that a new FAKE and fraudulent Vinnie Vincent "forum" has now popped up under
a "similar" address and "look" to my
Official "doublev.forumco.com."

I believe the "imposter" responsible for this fake forum is a former member of my Official Vinnie Vincent forum, "doublev.forumco.com" who I had to terminate a year ago because of bad faith actions which he apparently continues to display to this day; this time by devising and orchestrating a scheme intended to falsely entrap the fans who register at his "fake" forum into believing it is me, Vinnie Vincent, (WHICH IT IS NOT) in order to feed the fans false information regarding my name and career. I believe he is hiding behind an accomplice because he is a coward. I KNOW WHO U R. I KNOW YOUR NAME. SHOW YOURSELF TO THE FANS U COCKAROACH!!!
This imposter likely was a bogus registration in the official "doublev.forumco.com" or had an accomplice register in order to cop the look and official postings to make it appear "real" then edited the real postings to deliberately mislead the fans. As far as I know, there are some really angry people here because of failed delivery on some expensive stuff, but they still love and support Vinnie. So why the hate? If he did wrong, then they have a good reason to be pissed. I really hate to think that any of it is real, but the numbers are there. The interviews with people who have worked with him and are pissed at him are real. I'm wearing rose-coloured glasses, I know, but I still think Vinnie himself is a good guy with really bad management and assistants. Maybe it's because I try to see the good side of a person up until they kick me in the teeth. I dodged that bullet when I didn't jump on the boxset. I can't speak to that issue. So, from my perspective of not having been ripped by him, he's still the same Vinnie that I love and admire.

But this is one hell of a rant that makes me wonder if I'm wrong to blindly support him.

Vinnie has no management or assistants. Unfortunately it's him making all the decisions.

That's a bad move in many ways. Look at what happened with Star Wars Episode 1 when George did it all by himself, that movie sucks big time!

It's like representing yourself in court, which Vinnie has also done after firing his lawyer who was giving him good advice. The judge saw through that one and threw the book at him.

Funny statement coming from someone who believes Robert will be singing on asg and all the other stuff.
I am looking forward for him to just stopping these outbursts and get on with the music he is so good at. He is above getting involved with fans he doesn't agree with. I would like to see a statment to his wife apologizing for the misunderstanding or whatever it was rather than just saying he was a victim of lies.

Just as a general observation, who the hell uses YOUTUBE to post updates? Am I the only one who thinks that is weird.
People use Facebook or MySpace or blog or their own URL website...but nobody uses Youtube. And do you know of any Youtube channel that has only 1 video? It's all so odd.

I'm not sure how the Viewed By Counter works on Youtube. But maybe he uses it to count the number of views to 'his' site. He is insane & seems obsessive compulsive. Just guessing.

I just don't understand how he made the decision. "What kind of web presence do I want? How do I want to communicate with my fans? I know! I'll post a Youtube video and communicate to everyone through the comments/description section! GENIUS!!!"

Look at what you guys did with this blog! It looks professional, modern and is easy to use and navigate.

We have a blog over at wordpress (http://www.lizardsfromafar.com) and it's great. You can post news, updates, media and have it look nice.

He could use reverbnation.com. We have our music posted there (http://reverbnation.com/lizardsfromafar) and not only can you post music for listening/download/listening and download controlled by user status...but they offer some nice web and blog capabilities as well. I think he should really get rid of the doubleV forum and go with reverbnation. He could do absolutely everything he needs to do there: news, blog, music, and video.

exactly. he doesn't even need a website. Myspace, facebook and what you mention would do it. The forum really is not something he needs. God knows what he will be doing once he has more outlets.
He likes youtube because its not permanent and he can deny anything, other than the stuff that gets cached by Gibson.com and the local Tennessee newspapers.

He also wants something that he can control and delete people.
