Forgive my ignorance, but what is FLAC? I googled it and concluded I need software to play or convert it, yes? My PC is full of trial software that doesn't work any longer and I don't feel like downloading any more or paying for stuff!!!

Anyone care to upload some good old MP3's for us iTiunes users who want an easy life?

flac is basically the same quality as a .wav file. There has been no loss of quality like mp3's. Of course there isn't much compression as all the quality is still there so it can't go much smaller.

Media player plays flac on my pc and there are a lot of free converters that go both ways. A lot of stuff is out in flac now as we have the bandwidth so don't need to compress much.

Plus, a lot of musical people hate mp3 for what it does to sound. I don't mind it, but when you get some flac masters, you can't go wrong. This is pretty much the full quality demos.

Man, I can go the rest of my life without hearing JSS destroy those tunes again. That is a new level of suck for JSS. Vinnie should have sang these songs !!

I like JSS's voice on these. I'm happy to hear Vinnie's songs sung high the way he seems to want them to be.

Really? JSS is too barbaric and manly for these tunes. He should go back to the style he JAMS on like 'I Am A Viking' and 'Disciples Of Hell'. His style is just too harsh for me on these songs. He doesn't have the grace/care that Vinnie or Robert would give to these songs. JSS is definitely NOT a man of a thousand voices.

My opinion, -PB71-

US Folks,
Download and use Winamp to play the FLAC files. Works great!

Yeah I agree JSS's voice doesn't really go with Vinnie's music. Vinnie should be singing. But I still like it and just listen to Vinnie's solo on Gypsy In Her Eyes!! He is an amazing guitarist.

There was a good quality 1988 Canada Show on youtube where you can see Vinnie Blackened out the CA of CARVIN on his amplifier stacks so they all said VIN on the amp grills....I wish that 'fun guy' would come back to us all.

Has anyone seen the pic of Vinnie standing one foot on a toilet and a huge turd in the toilet...he has the guitar strapped on his body too!!!?

Classic.

Hi Eddie. Yes, there is pics and video of a smiling, happy Vinnie, something hard to imagine from the guy now who's deleting us all.

The 88 show should be available here soon.

The pic of Vinnie with his foot on the toilet is here in the Vinnie's Gear section I think. I posted them again as they show Vinnie with a mostly unknown ESP guitar.

Listening to these songs and the time frame they were recorded in it's clear Vinnie was not out to write another VVI album, but more accessible songs for other artists, which really shows his versatility and songwriting abilities.

I downloaded it from a music torrent site, Jam To This. Similar to dimeadozen. They had the 88 show but the seeds are all gone...

I shall wait for your upload and get it from you. I haven't seen the dvd versions of the expo stuff, just small video files available on the web.

I tried to listen to the JSS/Vinnie songs again. JSS is way off pitch-wise and brings no guttural soul to the music .JSS' lack of grace is CRINGE-WORTHY. I wish that we had a puking emoticon.
