woooooooowww!! easily in my top 10 albums of all time. this album deserves a huge article in Classic Rock or Rolling Stone for its 25th anniversary and no one (not even us!) remembered. i'm overseas at the moment and of the few cds i took, this is one of them. think i'm gonna go put it on

Fan-friggin'-tastic album. All I can say is "please sir, may I have some more?"
I 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th.......25th this statement!

Doubt I'll forget getting this in Aug. of '86. Somehow just knew it would be great. Just a great record. I think the record sounded even better than when transferred to CD!!
Wow, I was in the 9th grade... anticipated this release way more than anything by Peter, Ace or Mark at the time... or anything by KISS come to think of it. If he wouldve left out the shredding solos on No Substitute and Back on the Streets, it wouldve been perfect. I remember looking at the back of the LP and thinking Robert was the drummer and Bobby was the singer! I mean cmon, the dude looks like Paul Stanley on steroids... so naturally he was the vocalist!

I know. He proved he could shred on all the other songs. A couple of nice, melodic solos would've been nice to mix things up a bit.
I remember blasting the cassette as loud as my pioneer speakers in the back window of my Mustang II would go!! This album was SO different than anything else that had come out. Melodic, pop shredding with great musicianship!
I can't help but think this album would've gotten more push if the whole Fleischman/Slaughter switcheroo and Fleischman lawsuit hadn't happened. It kinda killed the promotional push. I think back then a lot of non-KISS and non-VV people would've caught onto songs like DO YA WANNA MAKE LOVE and NO SUBSTITUTE.

funnily enough-or sadly enough-at time Vinnie delivered everything- and even more- that he did promise to in his announcements.
Still curious to know why people like Adam Mitchell thought that Vinnie could be much better than that, playng wise.I mean, i understood his point of view, would have liked to hear other aspects of Vinnie playng, the one his collagues and friends were so much talking about, comparing it to Jeff Beck's.

I said "MAINLY". Frankie just knew how his bread was buttered but yep, He's a dick as well. Sarzo talked way too much about Whitesnake, Cavazo is cool.

Why ?
I worked for them briefly about ten years ago. Dubrow was one of the biggest assholes you can meet. He just learned to keep it out of the press. TOO LITTLE , TOO LATE !!!
It really does break my heart that Vinnie was rumored to be just as bad when he toured.
Reading that old interview with the VVI tech was an eye opener. The tech was a druggie ,so, I will give Vinnie the benefit of the doubt in that case.
