Post by shramiac »

New album is out in Australia 3 days before the rest of the world???? Got it yesterday from JBHiFi for $26 with the drummer audtion DVD. It's $20 for just the CD.

Haven't listened to it yet! Argh!

Ok, I am going to guess that Dramatic Turn Of Events is the title of the album?

Cause I totally opened this thread thinking they had got their old drummer back, or something big like that had happened.

Was just discussing them with the other guitarist in the band, neither of us can get into them and we both think the singer is terrible.

I love that song Anna Lee? from Falling Into Infinity but he ruins the middle bit when he sings high.

My cousin will surely have this by now, he loves them almost as much as you, I've probably said that before.

I can totally understand the singer thing. Sometimes he gets to me a little too. He actually had vocal problems for 5 or 6 years as a result of reflux or something (I can't remember at the mo) and probably will never be as good as he was on "Images and Words" and "Awake".

One of the rumours with Portnoy leaving was that he wanted Russel Allen from Symphony X to be in DT! And now has a band with him! So maybe some truth to that one??? Russel can sing like a mofo. Mostly with a bit of gruff but when he sings clean he beautiful.
