Megadeth on Jimmy Kimmel

This is a laugh! Both Daves look classic!

Pity about the razor thin guitar tones!!!! Yeesh! Dave's voice is pretty thin too though!!!

Not as good as with Marty Friedman but that was fun and solid playing!

I like how Dave gave Kimmel the Angel of Deth II at the end and said "Happy Halloween" to Kimmel. Kimmel was like "WHA??" Obviously not a player. Fallon would have been like \m/  \m/

Dang! Why do they always give the rich TV folks the good gear????

Should go to the TV management team for booking the band not to the host!!! Hoping Jimmy will give it to a crew member who's a fan.

Jeff young and Chris Poland were ok, but Friedman is special.

Yes,yes, yes, yes!!!!!

Got the new album 13 last weekend and it's a classic Megadeth album but....and it pains me to say this because the guy is arguably the most techniquically talented guitarist Dave has ever had and seems like a really cool dude BUT, Chris Broderick is REALLY stiff as a lead guitarist! I mean Poserboy stiff!!!! Seriously, that stiff!!! He plays exactly like I would if I could sweep like that!!?!?!? In the box, techniquically perfect and tonally correct but at the same time, meh! Maybe suffers from his classical training???

I'd be happy if Glen Drover was still in the band!!!

I do miss Marty in though. 89'-95' Megadeth was sheer brilliance!

Though to be honest, if I could play like Broderick....oooohhh

I was front row in front of Marty for a Megadeth show. He ain't Mustaine when it comes to rhythm. I was upset and happy that he was sloppy. He's human.

those rhythms are very hard. I saw Marty with Megadeth a few times (Only on the first tour he did) and he broke his e string every other song and totally messed up the spanish part of holly wars one night. I think MF is pioneer however.
I met him a few times and have some letters and picks from when he was in cacophony.

i actually cried twice when i heard band broke up. First VVI and second Cacophony. Neither bands were very popular but it hit me hard. When VVI broke actually it wasn't even news. The British magazines had it in news section and a few us mags but it was hardly a big story. I remember Kerrang broke it first that Dana Strum had left and then the following week it was official that everyone had gone.

BB- my imagination never even thought to go down that path!
Shiiiiieeeettt! VVI -3 ! All original band members, with either singer, with no fighting.
My gawd! What would it have been like?
Another 12 songs pushed out, possibly none of them from current EP's, all new songs.......all happening in a parrallel universe with Bill and Ted as rulers of the world.......going to my happy place now ....ahhhhh
