I think he likes the attention. He is a jealous guy low on confidence and had to have attention good or bad. I think he has the same mind set as a pimp on the streets.

This goes along with my pop-psychology assessment that he probably wears his wig all day & night, even if nobody will ever see him because he still pictures himself as a 29 year old rock star and can't stand the bald, broke, stalled-career man he has become.

its impossible for him to change. he believes the fabricated world he creates and his fake made up friends and employees. He thinks he is out smarting people but he is so so so not out smarting anyone. If you agree with him you are ok for a while but if you don't agree with him or you know too much you are a hater. Vinnie only likes to be the victim. This means he never has to do anything. He can sit on his ass and surf the internet 21 hours a day, prowling for anything he can get mad about, or something that says vv is god or looking for the next angel. He thinks every woman wants him because he was in kiss but thats not really reality either. He promises stuff. Says he's going to meet up with the angel and that he moved house and town (well he moved next door but not town).
He likes to call anyone he has screwed over haters and crazy dangerous extreme fans. How many times can he call someone he screwed over a dangerous hater?

He has to get off his ass , clear the slate. Be thankful he joined kiss. Realise he messed up in the 80s, 90s and 2010's and just work before he is way to old. Change his legacy.But he never will because his mind is only interested in doing the wrong thing and destruction of his own career and world.

i spoke to an old lawyer of his and he has a reputation of suing his own lawyers once he looses to kiss. Can you believe this. Who is going to represent him if he has a reputation for this? He thinks he is a lawyer in his own mind which is also a big problem and a reason why he is he sues so much. He can only see his side of things.

The thing is, no mastter the age or look, if you have a smile on ya dial, and the right setting, everyone looks pretty cool......and, well really, a 59 yr old still promoting/releasing music sounding like VVI is pretty unlikely.

SO true. Looking past the crazy and fast guitar solos, Vinnie has a legacy of writing both great lyrics and great music. I listened to the "unmixed" ASG bootleg the other night. Without all the extra guitar layers and wall of backing vocals, you can hear the song structure, the changes, the melodic yet powerful riffs. I know I'm just a drummer, but sophistication of the compositions are WAY more advanced than his contemporaries of the time. You had speed/thrash and progressive bands that were cramming lots of notes and time changes, but Vinnie was creating melodic rock...which is typically simplistic, musically speaking. Vinnie's songs had that melodic feel but sophisticated musicality under the hood. And then on VVI & ASG most of that is buried under layers of lead guitar. As a rhythm guitarist, his riffs, chords, changes and flourishes are surprisingly complex without losing the melody.

Very well put erg2. Without a great song all that high speed sonic fury really doesn't amount to much. Good example, Speedball Jam. A lot of notes, that are great to listen for a couple of plays, but don't really last the test of time.

There is really not much reason listen to Speedball Jam more than once. Just get it for the collection and put it away.

Far and away the lowest quality Vinnie release.

On the complete opposite end of the spectrum compared to Shoot U, or That Time Of Year or I Wanna Be Your Victim, etc.

He had a dynamic edge and subtle and sophisticated structure as a back bone for shred koas. It's hard to find anyone who I appreciated as much as vinnie. I am starting to add lynch to that but no one was as self sufficient as vinnie . Malmsteen maybe but I don't think he wrote as well as vinnie. And no idea if he can sing. Vai and satriani and Gilbert are not the songwriters that Vincent was. Kotzen is self sufficient I suppose.

I would call vinnie a true auteur which I can not say for anyone else. But I can only talk in past tense. I wish the guy would step up and see the light.

I love his Racer X stuff, his videos and youtube stuff is amazing.
