Some guys don't look cool with a RR V.

I pick Meatloaf, but not this song. Bat Out Of Hell is such a good album it makes up for the rest, though some of it's ok.

Meat Loaf is awesome...when he is not writing his own material and especially when singing Steinman songs.
Some people just click when they work together:
John-Paul-George-Ringo
Gene-Paul-Peter-Ace
Gene-Paul-Eric-Vinnie
Meatloaf-Steinman
Eddie-Alex-Michael-Dave

It's not that some of these individuals/bands CAN'T do something cool with other musicians, but there is just something magical about that certain combination that can't be explained or replicated.

Meat & Steinman bore me to tears! Meat is a crap singer too! There, I said it! :P
Promises made, crying in vain, all empty. Never accepting the blame and not letting go of the shame. A river of tears, as months turn to years, all wasted. On someone not willing to change. Now only a shadow remains! :(

In his prime I disagree...but he's absolutely blown his voice all to hell.

As for the Steinman songs, to each their own. I think some of them are pure genius.

Different leagues. Meat is broadway/cabaret at best. Daryl Hall is blue eyed Soul and sounds almost as good in 2012 as he did in 1973.

I saw Meatloaf a few years back. Won't be going back either. Both truly no longer interest me, but Daryl can still hold a note. Meat now sounds notsogoodtheremrloaf!

The studio version was a great song but the live performance was disappointing and where was the great Bob Kulick shredding the walls down?

Dont waste your money... saw them back in Dec. Boring as fuck. Both act bored as shit..and Oates keeps tryin to push his shitty solo material.

It's a festival type thing nearby, on the radio a lot, heard it again today and was reminded when I saw this thread again. Their 80's songs sound good on the advert!!

You can also win tickets but I am not anywhere near keen enough to try.
