Just curious...I'd like to take a census from all of you in regards to Vinnie playing a 1 night show...
1. Would you just want Vinnie by himself on a stage or would you want a full band w/singer ?
2. What would be you opinion for a fair ticket price with or without a opening act ?
3. Where should Vinnie play...club or theater ?
4. Would you go and how far would you travel ? Thanks, Ed

$30.00 US with or with out opening act.

In Australia we are used to higher prices for shows.

If it was a full band with great singer I'd pay $100 no problem. Less if it was just Vinnie but he could do that too.

Probably clubs at this stage.

A small venue is good enough like the Rocking On The River we have here where I live. That place does seem to be jumping esp. if there is a tribute band playing.

Ed, We have spoke about an all day Vinnie-Fest in Smyrna. We book a banquet center where Vinnie can meet and greet, play, have a seminar, , have open discussions about his entire career, at the end he plays to pre-recorded tracks(for a one -off, I don't see the need for a band)
About an hour or so for each activity.

$75-$100 per person for an eight hour Vinnie-fest.

He would have to reach for the olive branch that we have had extended and actually mean it.

Private board Vinnie ????

I would pay $100 to see him play for 2 hours any way that he feels comfortable, by himself or with a band. No opening act is needed.

Long Beach Area, sold out. Terry Bozzio on Drums, Steve Stevens on Rhythm, Massive Stage. Tons of Pyro. Walls of amps. Cheerleader backing singers. Concussion Bomb. Tom & Tj Guitars. Smoke Machines. Light machines (ala WASP Love Machine Video) Massive lighting rig & Ear bleeding, body thumping FOH. And the VVFF in the front row. That's all, I don't ask for much.

$25 to $30 and at same size clubs as on asg tour. With at least a drummer and bass player.. maybe mike weeks bass and vocals along with vv also singing some tunes. Could not think of a vocalist good enough and robert will not do it.

I could not tell you how many people would show. It would need to be promoted incredibley well and refund guaranteed if no show.

I'd be happy to see him play to a pre-recording like Bruce does at his guitar clinics. A real band with real lead & backing vocals would be BETTER, but either would be good.

Ed How about the Klein Auditorium? I have been to that venue years ago.. maybe too big. I would say vv should do Nashville, Tri-State area, Vegas, LA and somewhere near Rick in Ohio. Then most bases would be covered. I would say just have VV do a clinic for ease as I could not see how v will get a band together and rehearse etc.

too bad he can not get an amp endorsement and just travel some guitar stores like MAB does. I saw Bobby Rock back when he worked for Peavey in a drums store and that was awesome.

There are so many things he could do career-wise:
- release unreleased music
- record new music
- put together new band and tour
- convention circuit/tour
- write a book/memoir
- endorse signature guitar or amp line

A while back, I had discussed with Vinnie the 1,400 seat Klein Memorial Auditorium in Bridgeport...This is a great place for him to perform seeing it's his "Home Town" The venue is 5 minutes away from the bus & train stations and the major I-95 highway exits/entrances, great access for Tri-State fans and seeing N.Y.C. is within 1 hours time...I'm sure he wouldn't have a problem selling it out !!!

Imagine the emotions and all the fond memories that Vinnie would have...Ed

With a lot of promotion and good prices but dont forget he didn't get those figures on his asg tour with very low ticket prices, but maybe he can sell out. Would be awesome especially if professionally filmed and made available as blu ray/download etc

I used to go to CT quite a lot. Danbury , new haven, Bridgeport, grenwich and block island (not sure if in CT).
from what I remember the klein would be perfect for a vinnie show.

Also, there is the entire KISS re-union thing and new surge in popular culture recognition.
I think there could be some interest in a "one night only" event and, as DV2 said, record it for a DVD and live album. It could be the kind of thing that re-ignites interest in him as a guitarist of note.
